All about me......

I am a retired wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and I'm sure I am a few more things I don't even know about. I have been on this weight loss journey for most of my life and a few times have even reached my goal.

At this point I am pre-diabetic and still need to lose quite a bit of weight so it is time to get serious again. This time will be forever as I cannot keep doing this or feeling disgusted with myself.

I will continue to walk everyday at least 5 days a week. I will do some kind of exercise every day. I will weight/measure all food including condiments. I will be accountable to myself and weigh in in front of another person to keep myself accountable.

My goal is to lose 5% of my body weight for this challenge and maybe a little more for good measure!

My Goals:
I want to be a healthy weight and not feel anxious when I have to get on the scale in the doctor's office.

My goal is to lose 5% of total body weight by the end of the Spring challenge.

My Program:
Spring Challenge Exercise Plan:

Walk 60 minutes in the morning 5 days a week.

Walk - 30 minutes in the afternoon 7 days a week.

Ride stationary bike 30 minutes 5 days a week.

Personal Information:
Hi -

My name is Donna. My DH of 47 years and I live in central Florida most of the year. We have a little cabin in the mountains where we like to go and escape the summer heat.

I love to read, play computer games, garden and walk. I spend most Saturday mornings at the local yard sales and am forever searching for that special treasure.

My DH and I like to travel - especially cruises. We like unpacking once and sleeping in the same bed every night. And someone else takes care of everything else. But for 2014 we plan to see the USA. We've done quite a bit but have places we want to re-visit and take the grand with us this time.

We are blessed with two grown children (one son and one daughter) and a sweet teen-age granddaughter. We love spending time together and try to take the grand everywhere we go. She still likes to be with us so we consider each day a gift.

LOL, I had to laugh at your very kind comment on my blog. I am not good with social media either. I started to post something on the SP Facebook site because that I know how to do, but then I was afraid to post the directly to the page rather than respond to one of their posts. Sheesh, so many options, so hard to know what to do!! emoticon

The map site has been down all weekend. This has happened before but no way to tell when it will "feel better".

I keep a note for my miles on our group thread. Just total the miles completed when the site is back up.

I miss the map updates too!!!!
