I have a wonderful family, with a very supportive husband. I've had serious medical problems which I've overcome with the help of my husband, friends and wonderful doctors. The chemo has left me with side affects, but I am now a cancer survivor. Now that I'm healthy and strong I want to continue to live my healthy lifestyle that I have used to regain my health. My final challenge I'm not doing so hot on - getting rid of the weight I have gained. I've finally realized that I can't do this ...

My final challenge I'm not doing so hot on - getting rid of the weight I have gained. I've finally realized that I can't do this alone either. I'm sixty and am truely greatful for my great life, but I want this life witha thinner body to be able to move easier and do more.

I am 654 days sober today. In celebration I want to share a Recovery Garden with you. This was gifted to me a while ago from my SparkFriend, CORKTHEMOM! Anyone who has survived cancer can really appreciate the love and nurturing in this garden! Blessings to you and always, dear SparkFriend! emoticon

How is your garden growing? WHAT TO PLANT IN YOUR RECOVERY GARDEN OF DAILY LIVING:

emoticon PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:

1. Peace of mind.
2. Peace of heart.
3. Peace of soul.

emoticon PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:

1. Squash gossip.
2. Squash indifference.
3. Squash grumbling.
4. Squash selfishness.

emoticon PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:

1. Lettuce be faithful.
2. Lettuce be kind.
3. Lettuce be patient.
4. Lettuce really love one another.

emoticon NO GARDEN IS WITHOUT TURNIPS:

1. Turnip for meetings.
2. Turnip for service.
3. Turnip to help one another.

emoticon TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE THYME:

1. Thyme for each other.
2. Thyme for family.
3. Thyme for friends.

WATER FREELY WITH PATIENCE AND CULTIVATE WITH LOVE. THERE IS MORE FRUIT IN YOUR GARDEN BECAUSE YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!
