I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 40 minutes a day on the elliptical. I also lift weights, do exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

Thank you so much for the great comment on my blog. You're so right. It's friends on Spark who have helped get me to my lowest weight in over twenty years, and it's the first time I've ever done so much exercise of all different kinds. At the moment, I'm eating lots of healthy veg and protein, tracking calories and not weighing. I'll weigh soon and I'm looking forward to seeing the results of the experiment.

Hi... thanks for stopping by my blog.

IF = Intermittent Fasting. I am following a paleo/primal hybrid lifestyle and IF is part of it. Normally, I am not hungry in the morning, but if I do get hungry I will break the overnight fast and eat something. We all fast over night, I just extend it.

... there is a lot of information online about IF, but this will give you a general idea of what it is about. I do daily IF, but I am flexible and break my fast whenever I get hungry. But I do try to eat all meals before or by 7pm daily.....
