I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 40 minutes a day on the elliptical. I also lift weights, do exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

Which dvd did you do? Busy day my friend emoticon

Well I got up made breakfast , did a 50 minute workout went to town got the mail went to library got my books, brought in from the car into the house moms 11 bags of soil and my 20 lb box of cat litter then made supper and now I am babysitting and have to do the dishes soon and oh yeah did laundry today emoticon emoticon

so we were both really busy today...so after all those lessons with kids hows your head? lol mine would be hurting...lol mine is starting to hurt and I just started to babysit but soon they will all go to bed emoticon emoticon

Hi Kim, lol I am tired I kept on waking up last night...but I am so doing a workout today!! For sure emoticon How are you doing?

I think my stomach cramps were related to that coffee...stomach is feeling better today...not 100% but better...so I will keep on laying off on coffee this week and see how it goes...thanks for the great veges ideas...minus the eggplant (yuck!lol emoticon

i only drink 2-3 cups instant per day and I control how much coffee I put in each drink...I can't drink most coffee as people make it way to strong for me and then I get the jitters and I don't like that feeling...its yuckie ...yep I will lay off that coffee (for sure for this week and see how it goes I am getting used of green mint tea its quit nice) emoticon
