I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 20 minutes a day on the elliptical and 20-30 minutes with DVD cadio exercises. I also lift weights with exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

    Haven't talked to you in a while. I really haven't been doing as much on Sparks cause of physical therapy on my back. I keep getting prescription damage which causes that, and gaining weight rapidly . So I hope all is well. I find myself getting more and more into almost becoming a vegetarian. I always think of you when I do that. Any good recipes that you could suggest, and where do I find them? eva

    Today I tried beets! Not the greatest, but they're edible, lol! I'll at least eat 2 1/2 more because they were sold in threes & I don't like to waste food.

    I am excited, as a see you do recipe blogs, too! I hope some of mine work for you! I am doing Meatless Monday this year and many of my other ones could be made veg by substituting meatless options like tofu, soy crumbles or TVP! I hope one day I can go all the way and give up meat (I love animals)! Also, right now I am not even cooking due to my two bad knees and my husband doesn't either...but...I Love dreaming of the day I can and love to collect healthy rececipes for the day I am able!
