I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 20 minutes a day on the elliptical and 20-30 minutes with DVD cadio exercises. I also lift weights with exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

lol would you believe I posted this to my own page???

yeah it hurts not fun but hey on the bright side my toe is making me use my cardio machine a lot more now lol

The sandals work great to support my high arches but not so good for stretching, I take them off for that...man its was because I was working in my bare feet that caused my really bad heal...I need to go for physio for it now because it hurts bad most days. Your very lucky I would just love to workout with no shoes .


Awesome on getting sore!! Love that feeling! I am sore from yesterdays workout...did Caths' HiiT Circuit Upper Body ...using machines for the cardio to save my toe.

today was piloxing lower body work on the floor...no lunges or dips all laying down work...and then for cardio used my machines worked great! emoticon

Hi Kim ....so yeah what else will go wrong with me... after we got the garden all worked up and planted I had a freak accident happen...I was moving my daughter on a big lazy boy chair to make her more comfy with baby so she could lean back and I pulled to hard and the chair went flying and ripped my big toes nail all the wall to the cuticle and bruised it up and made a deep cut on the top of the toe so needless to say my toe hurt bad...today was the first day my toe felt good enough to stay on it for a longer period of time so I got in a awesome workout even though I could not wear runners but had to wear supported sandals with molds , and I could not do any lunges or high impact movement...I used my gazelle, spin bike and elliptical for lower body work and cardio...so it went great!

...I'm doing good. Thanks for the information. I bought Tuscan Kale this weekend, different from the kale I usually get... darker, bigger leaves, similar to collard greens in look, but darker. Very good.
