Getting back in the swim
Shared Food Tracker
Welcome to my world! I'm a battle-scarred veteran of the weight loss wars. I've been heavy most of my life, often 100+ pounds overweight; I've also taken it off down to goal weight and maintained it three previous times, only to lose my grip and put it all back plus more. At 55 I wasn't sure I had another weight-loss project in me, but glory be I seem to be pulling it together again. I'm a little nervous, but mainly feeling good, and ready to do the work.
Healthy, non-insane weight management; improved mobility; taking proper care of my health issues (osteoarthritis, gout, hypertension, GERD)
I am rigorously using the nutrition tracker, set for heart health and a slow steady weight loss eating a balanced diet. I am starting low-and-slow with the exercise tracker too. I have joined teams and participate in the forums.

Just dropped by to say - Hi. and welcome you to The “Chair Exercise” Team
Welcome to the most friendly, most supportive team in SparkPeople land!! - Please feel free to jump in and join in the message boards. It has been proved that people who contribute to message boards and blog regularly lose more weight, more easily than those who don’t, so come on in.
It is a great place to be and you will find lots of friends, ideas and links to help and support you at all stages on your journey.
I suggest that you leave your Sparkmail turned on for this team so that you receive the monthly Chair Exercise Team E-Magazine – Chair Treasures – as well as any important notices.
To help you on your way I have sent you a Sparkmail with resources for exercises that are suitable for those whose mobility is limited, whether by age, physical problems or time. I hope you will find it a useful reference.
I hope you succeed in all the goals you set.
Enjoy the journey
