Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my page. You've entered the world of the unexpected, the struggles, the victories and the continuing journey of my life. Not everything you find on this page is about health ... or fitness ... or fun ... but it is honest and it is straight forward!

I started my journey towards being healthy on Oct 1, 2010 and found Spark People on Jan 11, 2011. Since starting my journey I've lost 50 lbs - some of those pounds more than once unfortunately. This journey isn't easy and it hasn't been fast for me but I've learned so much about myself that I know I'm never, never, ever going back to the person I used to be - EVER!

In my journey I've discovered that I'm a runner ... I'm a strength trainer ... I'm able to lean on my faith ... and my Spark Land Warrior buddies to help me through the times when I can't seem to make it alone. I'm not done yet - not with self discovery - I want to push my boundaries and run farther ... lift heavier weights ... and try new things! I can do it!

I'm here ... I'm happy to help when I can ... and I care. Let's join arm and walk shoulder to shoulder towards the bright future that is waiting for us, shall we?

My Goals:
Goals for Oct 2012 - March 2012

~ Work on learning how to eat right to counterbalance the insulin resistance problem.

~ LOG all of my exercise minutes.

~ Commit to strength training 2 x a week and stick to it!

~ Keep running, walking and biking to pump that cardio up!

~ Fall in love with myself with all my flaws, failures, triumphs and growth.

My Program:
Cardio 5 times a week - Strength training 2 days a week - Log all food and remember that I didn't pack it on in a week, it isn't coming off in a week!

That's the ticket! That inner brat, negative nelly, whatever you want to call that voice, really DOES listen when you let it be known you're in charge! Kinda like kids . . . the don't really like rules and order and so on, but they thrive on it! Funny how that works!
