Update as of 12/13/14: 20 lbs down, and I need to get back in the spark of things. It's been a tough year and a half for me emotionally, and it will get even stranger as the "nest" gets closer to being empty. I was born to be a mom and wife, well the mom part has to change to grow with the children...who aren't children anymore and do not need me like they did all these years.

Oct 2013: 30 lbs down, now and maintaining. I need to get at least 20 more pounds off this body and I know that I can do it. It took me 4 years to get the 30 off, but I don't want to wait another 3.4 years to get the next 20 off.

Starting is one thing, but keeping on the focus towards the goal is another, but I get the drift!! I'm doing it now and feeling, looking, and getting better all the time!

If you are interested in sparking me along, that would be great, I would appreciate it.

It's time to revisit and adhere to my goals.
They are:

1. Respect myself & goals
2. Drink 8 cups of water DAILY
3. Watch my portions and
NO seconds!!!
4. Exercise daily DAILY!!!
5. Concentrate on goal!!!
6. Stay focused.

REVIEW These goals DAILY!!!!! I forgot that part last year!


Personal Information:
Update: As of 9/1/14: I am a full-time Retail Sales Merchandiser with my youngest child graduated from high school and her two siblings living away from home. It is the empty nest feeling that has torn me apart inside. I don't want to work, I don't want my children to not need me anymore, but I know that I need to learn how to be a mom in a different way to grown people.

As a stay-at-home mom and the wife of a wonderful scientist and daddy to our 3 children. I embraced life as it came thanking God and knowing that I can only get anywhere with His help and grace.

Other Information:
A Catholic Blogger, Master Catechist, published author, book reviewer, violinist at our parish, former sewing instructor at the local community college .

My favorite pastimes are writing, playing violin, quilting, crocheting, and just hanging with my family completes my life.

I, too, am struggling with my almost-adult children. *sigh* They wear me out sometimes!

Just trying to make it one day at a time around here.

A good weigh in AND potato leek soup!!! Life is good! Got freezing rain on top of the 4-5 ins of snow so still winter in the Ozarks. I think I've mentioned that in our rural area the 85 yr old priest has 5 parishes and has to travel about 40 miles to our parish so needless to say, we had a cancelled mass today, so thanks to the internet, I attended Notre Dame's Basilica for their 10am mass. 0: ) We had to cancel Ash Wednesday mass so got our ashes last Sunday. We definitely have to be flexible down here. Haha Haven't had a weigh in at TOPS for 2 wks and may not have one this week, due to the weather. I'm still watching and losing slowly, though. this time it wasn't andrew- it was me- stomach bug going around the preschool- i got sick 3 times thurs afternoon at school & left early...ugh- i seem to catch everything that every child has there :(
thankfully it was only a 24 hr thing.
how are you guys doing?

i'm so sorry things are not getting better- concerning your dd. how's her dad handling it? i wish i had something substantial to offer, but right now all i have are my prayers & you, my friend, are in them daily. hugs xxx
