For Myself

I need this primarily for myself, but I know that it impacts my three daughters. Ever since I hit my 50's my metabolism has slowed down. I've always been able to eat anything in any quantity, and not gain a pound. Not any more.

Other Information:
The year that I turned 50 I went on my first hike. My husband is a big hiker, and I wanted something else to share with him. Since then I've been hiking to celebrate all our 'milestones' - birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. Living in up state NY, we do a lot of Adirondack hikes, but we also hike in the Shawangunks and the White Mountains of NH.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Today is a much cooler day here, like 20 degrees. So we have the windows open today!!

Life has gotten a little easier with just one cast. My son is so happy he has a little freedom. Still waiting to hear about physical therapy.

Ha ha! Well, I do dance A LOT while I perform so I guess there's at least some cardio benefit. I'm also carrying heavy equipment so maybe that's my weight lifting. Ha ha! I don't count it really, but I'm not just standing there singing. emoticon

Sorry if I caused confusion - here's an explanation regarding the palate/trend issue..........I work as a "descriptive analysis panelist" - a fancy-schmancy name for "taste tester". My company works with major food copmanies in order for them to develop flavors for new and current products - in this case, the company is working on flavorings for "healthy option" types of foods. We are currently testing for salt intensity as well as various flavors (spices as an example), and types (savory, sweet, etc.),

The info we provide is analyzed to see if we are in alignment with "trends" (i.e., are we seeing the same changes or variations in intensity as the companies do?), and we also review our results internally to see how closely, or distantly, we are aligned as a group. Yeah, it sounds pretty far-fetched - frankly, it took me a while to catch on to the concepts (this work is *not* the type that I've been doing for years - this was something I needed to accept as I was quickly reaching the category of "long-term unemployed", which stinks)!

Yeah, the IndoRow class is intense. It's a lot of interval work, racing, and little breaks where you do core work. I was definitely exhausted after but feeling good.
