Hi everyone, I weigh 263 and want to eventually get down to 163, that is 100 pounds, I have been on a diet all my life and hope to convert that to a healthy eating plan, I do ok for a while but then I fall off the wagon and have a hard time getting up, Wish me luck

1-4-09 I could have just written this as it is as true today and it was a year ago. I am starting again, I joined the New You Boot Camp and the only differance is that I weighed 264 this moring instead of 263. I have gained and lost about 200 pounds and at least I am still in the same ball park. I miss Liz as much now as I did a year ago too, I was going to get a puppy for Christmas but didn't have the money... Boo Hoo, but as a reward to myself when I get under 250 I will do it. I have some serious health problems that I need to take care of and I am doing that.... Just need to Relax more. Edna
I want to eventually get down to at least 163, that is 100 pounds but for this year I chose only to loose 50 pounds, that would make me very happy.
I am trying to reduce my calories and pay particular attention to portion control. I want to stop my most unhealthy habit of cutting way back and eventually get rid of butter (Margarine) and salt, that would help a lot and be healthier. I just want to eat a regular diet with moderation, I tend to stay low carb, because I am a Diabetic and I did loose once on Atkins.
I live in Bradenton Florida and live the good life, I am retired and play every day. I ride my bike a lot and swim almost everyday, I intend to keep increasing these activities until I get stronger. I really want to walk but because of sever arthritis and fibromyalgia it is difficult for me to walk any distance.
I am a retired ER and ICU nurse, I would give anything if I could return to ER, even if I only could work 1/2 days. I loved taking care of the sickest of the sick and making a difference in their life and the life of their families.

I can't get Bob Marley's song, "Get Up, Stand Up" out of my head.
And I think we should. All the excuses in the world, no matter how valid, are just excuses. And we are not supposed to be moving back, only forward. (Well, I'm wearing my worst body right now, so it can either get worse or better for me)
But you, you have come so far. I know you worked to hard to just go back. And what is a heart attack but a jolt to the heart reminding you what your body needs and what it takes to keep enjoying life.
So I'm calling you out! 10 mins a day, every day, no exceptions. Because we can not give up this fight.
