I'm Eddie. I'm in my mid 50's and have a problem controlling my weight. I have always been a big guy. I'm 6'5" and have worked out for years but poor diet and beer has kept me from reaching my goals. New years, 2014 was the time that I took control of my diet, alcohol, my weight and health. I post my food and try to eat a health and balanced diet. I workout or go for a jog almost every day. I try to get my exercise in before work each day. I have lost a great deal of weight before and know ...

New years, 2014 was the time that I took control of my diet, alcohol, my weight and health. I post my food and try to eat a health and balanced diet. I workout or go for a jog almost every day. I try to get my exercise in before work each day. I have lost a great deal of weight before and know that if I do not make an effort in documenting my diet journal and push myself exercising that the weight and bad habits come back.

I still have some weight to lose but I feel so much better, I feel healthy and ten years younger. I will work hard to not go back to my unhealthy habits and stay healthy.

I'm married for a wonderful wife for over 30 years and have two great dogs. I enjoy jogging, gym, gardening and guitar.

Heaviest weight about 2009- 325 pounds.
Start 1/1/14- 305 pounds.
Update 6/20/14- 260 pounds.
Update 1/1/15- 243 pounds.

Thanks for stopping by my Half Marathon Results blog. I was pretty happy that I just beat out my goal time and felt like I finished strong. Now to keep running! Have a great week!

Thanks for stopping by my Tapering blog. Looks like cool weather, but no rain in the forecast for the half. Pretty much what we had for last Saturday's run. Would be nice for it to be a little warmer, but I'll take that over extreme heat. The runners will warm up and the specatators will be cold! The nice thing is they hand out jackets at the end that zip up. Disposable, but reusable? Not sure how that works up, but it keeps your hands free for the post-run goodies.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad you are getting some cooler weather too! I hear you about some of those runs where your legs just seem to weigh you down. Today was another good run and next Saturday is 7 miles. The weather will be cool again which should help.
