Travel is Fatal to Prejudice, Bigotry and Narrow-mindedness Mark Twain

My husband and I love to travel. We have done quite a lot in Europe, China, Thailand and the Caribbean. We love to watch the travel shows on TV. You learn so much from traveling and it truly broadens your horizons. One thing I have learned is that people are people- all basically the same--all over the world!

My Goals:
I would like to take charge of my weight and get healthy. I hate to exercise, but at my age it becomes a necessity, not a choice unless I want to deal with the alternative.

My Program:
I am staying within my calorie goals and eating healthier- working on more veggies. My downfall is not exercising. I am working on this, making slow progress.

Personal Information:
I live in a small town in northern Illinois. My husband and I have been married 45 years and have 2 sons. Unfortunately no grandchildren yet. Effie Annie is our "dogter".

I am a nurse on the brink of retirement. Just having a hard time making the big decision.

Alterations are My Forte. I used to make clothes but honestly there were times I was unhappy with patterns people brought to me. I started altering wedding dresses and then I had a business down town but I discovered I had a great hobby and people loved my work-My mother taught me well"

Alas I did great work but never charged enough. I had an employee and a rented store. When i had to go on Disability after my accident I had only made a profit 4 out of my best 10 years. Thankfully DH had a 401 K. I had a nice easy job that I loved.
I am actually a Diagnostic Radiographer but coming to US the technicians do not diagnose so I just did not work in hospital work..

GOOD-MORNING, Thanks for reading the blog.
This morning I am feeling much better. I was diagnosed with TESTING all kinds of allergies. After the testing process I did not react to some of them but Mold and Mildew I do believe I am reactive to them and the fall. My allergist used to prescribe a medication of pure Guafenisin. I had to buy it at a compounding Pharmacy and it was great.
Some time, seems like a long time ago it was pulled from the pharmacy shelves. It was only in congestion medication. I did try those high end mucus medications but the other ingredients made me sleepy or sleepless. I gave up looking.
Yesterday I looked through the pharmacy shelves and it was in there with no other additives. I bought a box and as soon as I took it I could feel it begin to work. I did go to bed but since I had that rare nap I could not sleep last night. I went to my recliner and slept, my ticking clock helps me to sleep. (D.H. does not like it. He does like the bird calls every hour during the day so we keep it in the living room).
As soon as I woke up I took another dose of it and I am feeling good so far. I always buy the lowest dose possible.
Pat in Maine. So far so GOOD. emoticon emoticon
