I''m a 34 year old wife and mom (three adorable and wild boys - 6, 3, and an infant) who is committed to getting back to my "happy" weight. I first started Sparkpeople in April 2012 and have had great success (at least in my book) in the past. After dedicating myself to lost weight, I became a runner and have logged multiple 5Ks, a 10K, 15K, and half-marathon. Along the way I was sidelined by an injury and a pregnancy that left running by the wayside. My focus spiraled downward and again I fell into poor eating habits.
From where I am today, I am looking to lose 40 pounds. In 2012, that would have sounded like a ridiculous goal, but today I know that in the race against the bulge, I am going to win. My focus is back - my family is complete, I''ve got a ton of support, and a humdinger of a motivator in the form of an anniversary trip to Hawaii. So while it won''t happen today, it won''t happen tomorrow, I know that if I am patient through lots of todays and tomorrows, I''ll reach my goal.
