After 2 diets and reaching my highest weight ever, it was time to listen to SparkPeople. I stopped dieting and I started a new life...
And after 3 months of ups and downs, here I am, reborn, the new upgraded me...
I was happily surprised by the positive reaction of my family... even though for them food rhymes with conviviality, they understood I had to take care of what I ate, and after they saw that I was eating correctly and not starving myself, they still proposed, but did not insist.
Spring 2010 is marking for me a New Age, a time of healthy eating habits, fitness and organization.
I want to thank specially 3 SparkTeams that helped me (and still help me) on this journey :
"Fit and organized", because organization brought consistency to all new habits.
"40 something with 10-24 pounds to lose" for challenging and supporting me.
"Creating a new you", because that's what is all about : turning the caterpillar into a proud butterfly lol !
Stick to a healthier lifestyle, lose that overweight and get more energy.
Nutrition : go back to simple healthy foods (whole grains, low-fat dairies, fruits and veggies), and MASTICATE!!!
Fitness : get off the couch and move this butt !!!
Motivation : look how much you save on your supermarket bill (up to 50 euros of junk food a week!!! )
Goal : fit in my old jeans and coats.
I am french and I live in the Netherlands.
My nearest family is 250 km away.
I don't have any friends here, just 2 or 3 good collegues.
I work as healthcare assistant (auxiliary nurse), I work alone and drive from client to client... it's often pretty stressfull.
I am a real couch potatoe, though I have to reckon that I feel much better when I exercised. I just have trouble to start, and I am very good in delaying and making excuses till it's too late to start...
I am a compulsive eater.
My husband does not actively support my lifestyle change : he's fond of junk and fast foods but he is not a compulsive eater like me so he does not have so big issues as me.
