I never really gave much thought about my weight (the women in my family were always just naturally thick), until two things happened: my little sister started losing weight through extreme diet and exercise; and I realized just how much heavier I was than anyone else in my family.
I realize now that at some point in my early teens, I was severely depressed and just stopped caring about everything, food, exercise, social activity, doing pretty much anything. I spent so much time just in bed.
Luckily, until last May, I had school and college to force me out and about, moving. Since then, I've put on another 20 lbs from sitting in a chair at work all day.

But on January 9th, the place I worked closed its doors forever, and I decided to start moving again.

No weight loss yet, but everyone I see tells me I do look leaner, and I feel more energized. And I've remembered how much I loved gyms when I was younger. So now I find myself there all the time.
