Digging deep

Hello, I'm Eleanor, and earlier this spring I turned 50. As a kid and up until my mid 20's I have always been thin. It took no effort, I ate what I wanted and still I was thin. As life moved on, marriage, kids, work...life in general, and 30 years, I find myself not thin anymore. As a matter of fact, thin has turned into 50 pounds over the thin I never thought twice about. 50...wow....the years fly by so quickly, and now at this age, I'm almost terrified its too late to turn this around. ...

As a matter of fact, thin has turned into 50 pounds over the thin I never thought twice about. 50...wow....the years fly by so quickly, and now at this age, I'm almost terrified its too late to turn this around. I'm going to dig deep tho, and try and pull myself out of this hole. I feel so old! So finished! I don't want to feel like this! So, here I go!

You're just a baby! emoticon I started at 55; will be 56 next week. I had 126# to lose and did it in 10-1/2 months. I am post-menopausal. I live with an obese husband who has no desire to lose weight (well, not enough desire to do anything about it!). I love chocolate (and eat it regularly!). I also eat steak several times weekly, I am a carnivore. I am not fond of most veggies and really don't like many fruits. Yet, still I succeeded in reaching my goal.

I feel younger than I have in many years. Hubby says that I have dropped 10 years in the past one!

I am telling you this, not to brag, but to encourage you that it is not too late! You, too, can succeed. Hey! You already have 2 accomplishments under your belt! You joined Sparkpeople and have started your Sparkpage. emoticon emoticon
