Finding more than just lost pounds

August of 2012 I have put on about 20-25 pounds in the last year or so. Weight does no tfall off like it used to at all. I am hoping by tracking my eating habits I can learn more about nutrition and get my body back to normal.

I am working on food planning as I feel I've gotten a lot of other habits I wanted to form in the bag:)

Update: 4/2/13 I have hit my goal weight that was set for 135. The weight in my previous goal picture was 132..close enough. Now I'm trying to maintain which is almost harder than losing. I'm also trying to get stronger, have more endurance and tone up. I want to stay this way, I want to be active with my daughter and our dog. I also want to keep fitness and health in my life to keep balance and positivity in my life which has been pretty up and down this last year and a half. Emotional well being is going to start taking a big part in my workouts, I'm excited to move back into my condo I purchased when I was pregnant 5 years ago and have my old hilly quiet neighborhood back.

Update 2/8/13 I'm about 8 pounds away from looking like myself to the left again. Well minus the wonderful summer tan! I'm currently on week 4 of my phone app Counch to 5k and I'm looking into local 5k runs in April.

Update 12/6/12 To date I have lost 13 of the 25 pounds I wanted to lose to look and feel like my old self. I am at a plateau weight wise but I can see changes in my body for the better that make it easier to shrug off the weight aspect of it. It still motivates me but no tlike it did before, I';m more worried about how my clothes fit and how I feel. I feel as if I've been a better co-worker, business owner and mother since beginning this healthy journey in August. Even with setbacks I've been at a consistant weight for about two months now so I know as long as I stick to it that portion is off for good and my life is better due to the effort I put in. I sleep better, naturally eat better, I don't cut corners and I'm a lot more knowledgeable when it comes to health and fitness than I ever thought I'd be without educational classes.

Update: 10/3/12
SparkPeople and SparkCoach have been lifesavers. I have lost half a little over half the weight I put on and have learned a ton. I have also found that I have a talent for motivating people that I was not previously aware of. I log on almost everyday and it is my stress relief; my 15 minutes to myself. I have joined different teams and taken part in goals with them, gotten friends to join and am now the administrater for Curves area Beautiful. I feel good about my changes not only for myself but for my four year old little girl and the others I am meeting along the way. SparkPeople is a great place to be if you want to reach your goals rther than the fast fads that are so common anymore.

My Goals:
Update 3/7/13 My goals have changed. I'm a lot closer to my goal weight but i have some toning I'd like to do through added strength training. I have been focused on running but have been lax in the other area of fitness. I am working on training for a Warrior Dash this summer.

I have 11 punds left to my goal weight. I can say I'm happy with how I look now and the progress I have made but I'm still striving for it!

I have 19-22 pounds I would like to lose before the end of October. I have a lot of habits I need to make and get rid of to make this happen.

My Program:
Update 4/8/13
I am running using c25k on my phone 3 times a week. I have added in strength training and make sure I'm consistant with stretching. I use a FitBit One to track my distance and steps. I use my food tracker almost daily.

I have yet to be a morning excercisor BUT mornings are getting easier and I'm sleeping better so hopefully i'm on my way!

I am working on becoming a morning exerciser. It is going to take a lot but I am really hoping to be there by the end of August. I would also like to get my bike out and create some habits using that as a mode of transportation to and from the gym or for a nice exercise when I can

Personal Information:
Iowa is my home state. I have family in AZ and WA two states I love to visit. My beautiful little girl is my world. I have an amazing, supportive boyfriend who has two daughters. We have a great, beautiful dog we rescued in May of 2012 that has been a great addition to the family. I have many things to be thankful for which has been my focus since taking a healthier turn in life.

Other Information:
I love to read. My favorate hobby is photography which I was able to focus on this year after I completed my BS in Business. The talent has taken off and I'm now doing others photos on the side of my full time job investigating fraud. I love spending time with my little girl and finding fun activities for us to do. I'm a SparkPeople nerd and find it is a lot of what I do for relaxation and free time. I love spending time with my friends. I'm lucky to have the group of friends I do have, they are honest, loyal and are my family in a lot of ways.

thanks for stopping by my page and blog! i am trying to eat a small meal every 2 hours or so - about 300 calories each. since i usually have a protein shake after my workout for breakfast and thats around 720 - then i usually go to about 10, 12, 2, 4 and 6pm. roughly. hope that helps and let me know how it goes if you try it!
