It is hard to lose weight..

I want to lose at least 20 lbs. and, I cannot seem to exercise enough to do it. When I was hit by a drunk driver at age 19, I hit the windshield with my head and blacked out. I did wake up and the street was full of police cars and lots of people. I was lucky the emergency doctor told me, you could of broken your neck, I did have to wear a neck brace, go to therapy and, I had to rest a long time.

I did recover I am blessed to be able to walk, my neck and back hurt sometimes ...

I did recover I am blessed to be able to walk, my neck and back hurt sometimes (arthritis) but, I am happy that I did not have to live my life in a wheelchair. So not carrying extra weight is important to me, and I am not giving up either...a little a day is better than not moving at all.

At times expected at mass, but just before she went to college. However, she doesn't go to church much now, seems hubby finds excuses :). Yet, left her to help me find apt after I'd thought that I'd found one and they didn't approve of neighborhood for my safety. Oddly the only one available happens to be about a city block from St Michael's, the patron saint of Police (her husband is a police officer and she is a police dispatcher, When he first started as an officer, I gave him a St Michael's medal. This too is interesting as it is a tad larger than most medals, then I thought about if they put in their left breast pocket-can work in mysterious or not so mysterious ways) :)

Oh my, thank you for the mixer..and a kitchen-aid at that. Yes I make pies..but not with the pumpking, however, the mixer is used for the meringue that is folded into the pumpkin, then butter and rich tea biscuits line the loaf pans, then multi layer pumpkin mix with biscuits, with final being biscuits. It ends up with this light fluffy pumpkin stuff mixed with like bites of pumpkin cake in it. when warm, whipped cream or lil french vanilla ice cream? Then my apple pies..etc..only kind that hasn't worked out right for me, and i only tried once, was a pecan pie. tasted great, but somehow didn't coagulate properly, like not consistent texture (any suggestions?) I am convinced that I need to adopt a family that just wants me to bake for them and will munch it all down, yet letting me have my nibbles and be done with it LOL

The car was a 1997 Ford Taurus with 260,000 miles on it and starting to rust. The engine just gave up.

:) Speaking of on hands and knees to clean kitchen floor. I once was in church with a teen that refused to kneel in church in prayer. I asked about it when we left the church. The teen stated that we had a loving God that she didn't believe would demand or expect that. I mentioned, have I ever gotten on my knees because I love you, to clean a bathtub, a floor, to wipe your head when you were sick, to pick up something you'd dropped. Now think of all the things you are on your knees for, yet you can't do this for your God?
