Cannot change without effort

I have maintained my weight around the 40 pounds lost and was lacking motivation to make changes again. Still have not reached my target weight, but am starting again. Have a 5K in June as the trigger to my motivation and have the kids involved in the training. One will be running ahead of me (I have no intentions of keeping up with him because he sprints for 2 miles).

The loon was just off my parents dock. It was my grandmother's favorite bird and the call was also meaningful. We would call the birds in front of her cabin, "Oma's Loons." When we saw this one, my wife and I instantly thought of her visiting in spirit. There was no zoom used, it was that close.

Keep up the work....The positive about plateauing is practice maintaining! While I plateaued I new that I was losing fat and gaining muscle....so I wasn't too concerned. I new that I would lose quickly once there was more muscle because it uses energy at a higher rate.

It's so hard, but I know we can do it. For me, I need to stop eating those Healthy Choice bowls. They are so convenient and low cal, but are high in sodium. More salads next week! emoticon
