1. Make sure you have a protein w/any carbohydrate.

2. Have a source of good fat (olive oil, avocado or the like). That is necessary to promote carb metabolism.

3. Figure out how to spread your calorie requirements over about 5 meals a day -- ie. spread out the calories out to be eating at least every 4 hrs. to keep the blood sugars stable.

4. Have you had a consult with a diabetic educator yet? That would be a fabulous beginning stage.

Hello. I guess things could be going better. I have to recommit and decide what is important to me. I am not doing so hot in the exercise department either. Today is a new day for healthier choices and better health. I'm hoping to be better about checking in daily too!
