Eh, this week has been a struggle. I started back to school last week (it's an accelerated course- two days a week, 4-1/2 per class), so I have really been fighting my schedule. I am trying to figure out how I can get myself out of bed early enough to get in a workout. We leave on a cruise (ten year anniversary gift) in less than two months and I would like to look better than I do now.
I have been trying to track my food intake. I think that is why I was not having much luck with my weight loss. I'll know on the 20th if measuring made a difference.
You can do this! It is a process and small steps lead to big results. Just the fact that you are exercising more shows that you have what it takes to get this done. 1676 days ago
I do the elliptical. We got a good one and I have been using it religiously. I did a 30 minute workout yesterday and I am feeling it today. I'm not sure if I worked harder or stronger, but I am sore today.
I think small goals are good. They give a sense of accomplishment and can build momentum. My new goal is to eat at the kitchen table and not in front of the T.V. Surprisingly, my husband supported this decision. I read somewhere that it takes 30 days for something to become habit, so if we can make it 30 days at the dinner table, it should become a habit. 1691 days ago
Drinking more water was one of the first things I attacked. That and not eating as many meals out. Due to my school schedule (Tuesday and Thursday evenings), we were eating a LOT of meals out.
I think that upping my water intake was one of the easier goals. I am still trying to increase my veggie intake. I struggle with that. 1691 days ago
