The Fabulous and Frustrating 40s

In July 2008, I joined sparkpeople because I had hit my highest weight ever. Daily exercise is part of my life now, but I still have a lot of work to do on the eating side. The 40s are awesome in so many ways, but the big downside is that the weight is harder and harder to take off. I'm happy that I've gotten a lot healthier, but I still have a lot of work to do!

Thanks on the tip about the tylenol for baby's shots. I'll pass that along to mom and dad!

Haha something I was going to put in my blog was that people are like "You only have a year left!" but after that I do a 2 year residency where they work you like dogs. I can't wait 3 years to take care of myself! But at least I won't have homework on the weekends with the residency??

Thanks for commenting on my blog! i love the colour o your page!!!!
I have not tried a chiropracter because we do not have benefits, but I would prefer a physiotherapist over a chiropracter, especially since it seems to be a muscular issue.

Thanks for the thought!

You are a busy bee too!

Well, the kind of Psoriasis that I have isn't an arthritis issue- at least not yet. I get patches of skin that are red and itchy that are called plaques. They didn't used to be very bad, I just had a few on my scalp. Over the last year I had a flare-up and my calves just look awful now.

Phototherapy is bascially going to a fancy tanning bed at the doctor's office. It filters out the UVA light and radiates UVB light onto the skin, which triggers vitamin D production and seems to work wonders against plaques. The topical medicine they gave me is basically a steriod. I'm trying to avoid shots/pills unless I absolutely HAVE to go that route.
