A New Attitude

In July 2008, I joined sparkpeople because I had hit my highest weight ever. Now that I'm in my 40s the weight just isn't going to go away easily. I have incorporated regular exercise into my schedule, and I'm slowly but surely changing my attitude and habits towards food.

Don't get me wrong: Bobby would kill another dog. That's why he is STRONGLY leashed (choke-chained) when we leave and could never go off leash unless in a contained room (vet).

He tries to kill any furry creature, including dogs. I couldn't take him to a dog park if I ever moved. :( Plus, being as he is, I don't think he can live away from a VERY large outside enclosure, like a massive backyard.

I've considered wearing it on my UNDERWEAR. The thing with the silicone cover is when it dropped, I didn't HEAR it, like I always did with the hard plastic-only Ultras. :(

The bra thing ain't happening. If they don't replace it, I'll be saved the problem of solving it! ;p

They also mentioned this important reminder: if you can't do 8 reps, it's too heavy!

So, RM is one thing but it's gotta fall under that other part, too, or it's too much.

I loved it! If you have a local Lululemon, you should swing in and see if they might be interested in organizing it (like they did in Ottawa). Or, if not, maybe a local yoga studio might take up the suggestion and organize it. If they want to charge, they could probably make a decent amount for a charity or something! Full Moon Yoga was AMAZING!

Costs associated: candles and matches, a few torches to light up the teacher, and a PA system so she can be heard. And, of course, a public space outdoors to do it.

I agree. The gist of that article was trying to convince people to not follow fad diets. I know a lot of people acted like I was crazy when I said that I was gaining weight after going gluten free.

That's Ignorance for you. I don't know for sure why some people lose weight going gluten free but obviously, they're not Celiac! The reason many people are diagnosed with Celiac is mentioned in the video ('failure to thrive', such as my mother -- your guts are so damaged, they don't absorb nutrients). I assume why some lose weight is because they're eating more whole foods, less cookies, cakes, bread, etc. BUT you can easily eat gf and it be garbage! (I ate a box of gf cookies across supper and breakfast this week -- no bueno!).
