The Fabulous and Frustrating 40s

In July 2008, I joined sparkpeople because I had hit my highest weight ever. Daily exercise is part of my life now, but I still have a lot of work to do on the eating side. The 40s are awesome in so many ways, but the big downside is that the weight is harder and harder to take off. I'm happy that I've gotten a lot healthier, but I still have a lot of work to do!

What I can't fathom is getting up at 445 to do my run! Ugh!! Luckily I put all my runs on late start days :-)

Thanks! It's a ridiculously long way for a weekend but there you go!

Yeah, I mean I'll never be entirely "ok" with it, but I'm not fighting the reality of it either. If that makes any sense.

Losing a parent is so very hard, so I feel for you my friend. If you ever want to talk, I'm here to listen.

I also use an app called TwoGrand that uses photos to track your food. It is great as long as you remember a picture! You can also just type it in for when you forget so that is a great feature too.

Ahhhhh you say it was 10 minutes of running out of 35 ... but still, the distance and time shows you must either run fast for those 10 minutes ... or power walk at a good clip for the other 25 minutes! So .... still awesome!
