The Fabulous and Frustrating 40s

In July 2008, I joined sparkpeople because I had hit my highest weight ever. Daily exercise is part of my life now, but I still have a lot of work to do on the eating side. The 40s are awesome in so many ways, but the big downside is that the weight is harder and harder to take off. I'm happy that I've gotten a lot healthier, but I still have a lot of work to do!

I'm glad the leg thing is not the ITB Syndrome at least ... and I can see why now its really frustrating for you to figure out what it might be. I got curious again and looked up other things (behind the knee and below & behind the knee etc.) .... and there does not seem to be any consensus on what it might be or even where to start looking. Some people thought it was a hamstring issue (which seems odd to me) and some people thought it was an upper calf issue ... and there were about a zillion other theories!

I hope the rest and the icing will get you pain to go away at any rate!

Pictures says so much! That is why I use a calorie tracker AND I take photos. I use an app on my phone called TwoGrand that you track your food with pictures only and I love it for that reason. You really hold yourself to a whole new standard. Justlook at yeyesterday! I was in my calories but it was far from healthy!

I'm glad the knee pain is going away. Perhaps you tweaked it like you mentioned on the bike ride.

I was wondering about it though, as I get some knee pain after running. Mine is near my knee ... but on the outside...which I finally figured out was an IT Band issue. From what you described yours sounds a bit different. Again, hopefully it's going away!

Thanks on the tip about the tylenol for baby's shots. I'll pass that along to mom and dad!

Haha something I was going to put in my blog was that people are like "You only have a year left!" but after that I do a 2 year residency where they work you like dogs. I can't wait 3 years to take care of myself! But at least I won't have homework on the weekends with the residency??
