One Day at a Time

I've been at battle in my mind for a long time. I would really like to talk to someone who can relate with where I am. I'm 52, have struggled with food, carbs and binge eatting in particular, my whole life. Have struggled with real weight issues only the last ten years or so. Before that I always thought of myself as fat when I wasn't. I have always exercised, but recently have had to stop because of a BAD case of plantars facistis. (From everything I read, being obese is not helping the cause) My new dilema is how to stay motived to eat right, while not being able to excersie. I'd really love to lose weight as well!!!

My Goals:
I have not ate candy in over a year. I'd like to chose another sweet item and eliminate it from my diet. I don't drink pop often, but love cake, cookies and ice cream. One of the tree has to go. I've not been good about commiting to this, But here I proclaim a goal, no more rolls, cakes or brownies! I also need to stop eatting at 5:00 pm daily!

My Program:
I have been trying to eat whole foods more and less items from bags or boxes, more fruits and veggies.

Other Information:
I love to dance, hike, hang out with family and friends. Read a good book paint, and write. I recently took a knitting class. I work as a teachers assist. and a preschool teacher two nights a week.

Have you and your doctor tried cortisone shots? I got a couple of those back about 18 months ago and it relieved the pain completely. I know the shots are only supposed to last for 6 months or so but as soon as I had relief I got serious about getting rid of the extra weight. I've had no problem - although I can still feel the "spot" if I think about it. So I know its not gone, just eased up.

Go with lots of protein. emoticon
