My name is Erin. I'm 37 years old. I love working out and getting healthier! I love to see the changes in my body and challenging myself to my full potential! Kickboxing and weight lifting are my favorite ways to workout. Working out is a passion of mine, and I want to help other women realize that passion in them. When I hear women that say they don't like to workout, it makes me think that they just haven't found the right workout yet. It's very rewarding for me to see someone who has been saying how much they "Hate exercising" start to have fun during a workout! My goal is to help them discover that! I'd love to help women create workout and diet plans to help them achieve their goals! I also want to show them that by taking care of their bodies the way that God wants us to, they can have more energy, decrease stress, and love the life they have!
I am a Registered Nurse (BSN) and also a certified Health Coach. I became certified to teach Turbo Kick on October 2, 2011. It is my absolute FAVORITE workout! It was created by Chalene Johnson, who also created Turbo Jam, ChaLEAN Extreme, and Turbo Fire. I love all of her workouts, so I was excited for the opportunity to be able to buy more of her stuff. The only way to buy the Turbo Kick workouts is to be certified. I taught Turbo Kick on Wednesday mornings at the local school right by the playground during the summer. The moms could workout while their kids play! I had to modify a lot of the routine because I am using my own music (upbeat Christian music). Since I used my own music, a lot of the moves didn't flow with the songs, or ended too soon or ran longer than the song went. So I spent quite a while listening to the music and putting my own moves to it while I had to keep pausing the music to write down the moves. When I did it at the church, I was having a lot of problems with choosing sections from her routines because of the song selection. Some of her songs are not very appropriate for church, so I end up having to piece together sections from 6 different rounds (different workouts) to make a workout for my class at church.
I was always the "chubby kid" in school and ate way too much junk when I was younger! I didn't participate in any sports or exercise at that time, so I never dreamed that I would now be a very active person who teaches kickboxing and loves to workout! I lost 20 pounds between 8th and 9th grade, right after my mom passed away... I did it the wrong way though, so some of it came back by the time I graduated high school. I yo-yo'd back and forth but have finally made it a LIFESTYLE change instead of "a new diet plan." I now have such a love for fitness and taking care of my body as Jesus' Temple that people just assume that I've always been this way. They don't believe me when I tell them that I used to be chubby growing up!
I've been married for 18 years to my husband, Jon. We have 2 sons, ages 15 and 13. They are the joy of my life! I have a boxer dog (Monte) that is 9 years old. Monte thinks that he's my third son. I've been a Registered Nurse for 16 years.
We are actively involved in our church. My husband is an associate pastor at our church. We have attended our church for 13 years and love the friendships that we have built there. My boys love the youth group. I enjoy meeting new friends and helping with the women's activities.

Diet: I became a lifetime member at Weight Watchers in June of 2010. I now try to just watch portion sizes, make healthier choices, and drink lots of water!
For weight training: I do a mixture of Peak10, Supreme 90, Bob Harper, ChaLEAN Extreme, and Jackie Warner.
For cardio: Turbo Fire, Turbo Kick, Peak10, Insanity, Asylum 1&2, Bob Harper, Jessica Smith, Amy Dixon... I have tons of DVDs, I love them! I'm a little bit of a workout DVD addict. When I see a new one out, I want to run out and buy it!
God has blessed me in so many ways! I started dating my husband when I was 16. Three years of dating and 16 years of marriage, and we're still in love :-).
We have 2 sons, Adam (14) and Josh (12). They are so sweet. I am so thankful that God has given them to me to take care of!
We have a boxer dog named Monte. He's about 7 years old now. I rescued him from the animal shelter with my birthday money from my 30th birthday. He was so cute, sitting my the fence, and he was the only dog NOT barking! He is such a great dog. Very loving and sweet.
I'm currently a "Conditon Management Nurse" (which is like a health coach). I've worked in a lot of different areas: med-surg, labor and delivery, postpartum, cardiology, outpatient surgery, and in the recovery room. I like to challenge myself in new ways and love learning new things!
