Hello 2013

Thanks SparkPeople for getting me off the endless yo-yo rollercoaster. 2+ years and counting.

I started my SparkJourney in January 2011 when I was 20 lbs away from my goal weight.

I'm hanging out and hanging in, still fine-tuning as I go. Maintenance does not mean you have it all figured out...

My Goals:
Most of the time we simply say "I will go on a DIET" and if most of you are like me, we do good for a few days, maybe even weeks, but that D word simply defeats us. So instead of making a resolution, I made a list of goals that I will work on and change the D word.. make it a lifestyle change...

My goals are:
1. Stay as active as I can on Sparkpeople
2. Get more cardio into my weekly schedule
3. Keep on track with keeping track of my nutrition
4. Keep working toward my big goal of losing a total of 30 lbs.

My Program:
I've been working with the idea of gaining wellness (better term, I think, than losing weight). The goals are there. The will is there. It needs to stay there and build and grow. My mental clarity needs to grow. My sense of self has been and needs to continue growing. My determination and drive and confidence will exceed the limits of my imagination if only I take it one step at a time, one day at a time, forgiving myself for my limitations, keeping in mind it's not an all or nothing game, and congratulating myself on the successes when they come. No need to be hard on myself, right? The important thing is to challenge myself while being my own best friend.



Personal Information:
Started this journey at the end of January 2011. I lost around 20 then maintained. I would like to take off and then maintain another 15 lbs.
