I lost the weight once. I can lose it again.

I started spark in 2007. I lost SEVENTY pounds in 8+ months. That was an incredible experience which has changed my life for the better. I haven't looked and felt that great since high school.

I would like to thank my support group for everything they have done. My friends and family and this website.

I have gained 45 pounds back over the last four years. My father and brother both passed away during that time and I started emotionally eating to deal with the losses. ...

I have gained 45 pounds back over the last four years. My father and brother both passed away during that time and I started emotionally eating to deal with the losses. I know it was wrong but I didn't know any other ways to cope. I'm starting to move on from all the emotional pain of losing them and the emotional eating has gotten under control. I started back up November 2011 and have lost around 6 pounds. I know I can reach my goal weight of 2007 with hard work and determination. This isn't a diet this is a lifestyle change!!

This website has brought me together with great, inspirational people who are looking for the same things as me. The resources this site provides are excellent and its amazing that the site is free of cost.

I have started tracking foods and exercising more and the results have been good. I know what I have to do to get in shape and lose the extra weight. I just need to put in the time and effort.

If anyone needs support or wants to make a new friend then leave me a sparkmail. Supporting one another makes anything we try to accomplish a little easier. I'm a good listener and can help support you in any way necessary.

“Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here in the first place. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes in the world come about. So be that person.” (Buckminster Fuller)

Thank you for being a great SparkFriend and for sharing this healthy living adventure with me.

Have an absolutely Sparktacular day!

A good plan for today is better than a great plan for tomorrow.

Look backward with satisfaction and look forward with confidence.

Nobody can lose weight for you. Master your body. Get off your butt and exercise now! Think of food as fuel, and not a reward. Like they say at the pump, "DO NOT OVERFILL"! You have done it in the past and demonstrated success, so you KNOW you can do it, what's holding you back? Conquer the problem and forge full speed ahead!
