My Goals:
My goal is to make some small but meaningful and permanent changes to my life in order to be healthier. Weight loss and increased strength and stamina will follow.

My Program:
First and foremost, I am tracking everything and it helps tremendously! By reading my own reports, I can see many misconceptions I've had about my diet. I am striving to achieve at least the minimum levels on calories, carbs, proteins, and fibre. As well, I am committed to move more, but baby steps -- because I have some health issues that limit that, and I really want the changes to become HABIT, and hence permanent.

Personal Information:
I'm a proud Canadian named Kate (or Katy).

Hey there! I was going to go the zoo on Halloween too but at the last minute decided not to, I wish I could've since the baby hippo was born that day! I didn't get any good pictures of the baby hippo, my one picture is of the daddy then one of the mommy with a little baby hippo head next to her. The baby was so precious and small, I hope to get better pics next time. :) Thanks for your unconditional support, it means so much to me! :D

Hey Katy,
Thanks for asking about my yoga week!

I found a place somewhat close to home and they are letting me try many of their classes. I've done some restorative yoga that is a lot of stretching. I've tried some flow yoga (that moves a little faster). I've taken 6 classes in 4 days and I can tell a big difference in the way I feel now (great) from when I started (I was tight and had a lot of cramping in my legs).

I'm back with an update on my coconut oil coffee experience.

I add the coconut oil and some very vanilla soy milk to the coffee. I use a small whisk to incorporate the coconut oil and I have a lovely frothy latte. Delicious! My new favorite beverage (once a day).

You're so right! The whisk makes all the difference because it emulsifies the coconut oil.
