I'm a 40 year old married mom of two teens. I'm looking forward to losing weight and having more energy. I was athletic growing up and would like to rebuild those healthy habits.

I'm starting over again (2/6/15) and have gained weight, so I'll be meeting some of these goals again.

I read a quote today and I loved it, so I'm putting it here so I will see it often. "It's unfortunate that we "beat ourselves up" so much trying to measure up to some unrealistic ideal, ...

-I have begun drinking lots more water
-I am thinking about what I eat before I eat it and have stopped pretending that food has no effect on my body
-I am exercising more
-I am working on having a positive attitude more often

February is American Heart Month and this month is dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease and increasing knowledge about prevention.
