A setback is only a setup for a comeback.

I lost 112.50 lbs. to reach my goal about 6 years ago and have maintained ever since. Believe me, maintaining a weight loss is much tougher than losing it in the first place! I have lost & gained & lost and gained & lost over 100 lbs. several times.

This time is different. I am no longer going to give up even when I have a gain or two. I will stick to this journey for the rest of my life! There is just no other choice - giving up is just NOT AN OPTION!!!

My Goals:
My goal is to continue to maintain my current weight along with my walking program.

My Program:
1. Drink TONS of water (at least 96 ozs. daily)
2. Walk at least 1 hour daily.
3. Eat approximately 1,200 to 1,500 calories per day except 1 day a week when I can eat whatever I want.

Personal Information:
I am a big reader of romance and time travel novels.
I also love to do word search puzzles and play solitaire.
Movies bring me great pleasure as well. My husband & I try to get to the movies at least once a week or more.
I just recently retired as of September 1st, 2013! Woo-hoo! I am totally enjoying my retirement!

Hello,

I feel honored to even be writing to you... I can't even wrap my mind around losing 112.50 pounds right now, but you look Fantastic!! My hope is that since you lost all of that weight that you feel not only physically healthier, but emotionally healthier too. I have a great deal of weight to lose, however, I have a bigger struggle because my right hip is fractured, so I can't walk or ride a stationary bike to exercise. With that being said, my weight loss has been very, very slow and I have felt very discouraged. Of course, when I read about you today, I felt so inspired and I was curious to know what you did in the beginning when it was more difficult to exercise. What changes did you make in your diet, your way of living from day to day, that helped you begin to lose weight? Incidentally, I live in St. Louis, so not that far from Illinois and I have a son who attends college in Illinois, plus family who lives there too. Also, I used to be a traveling nurse and I did a lot of visits to Southern Illinois which is just beautiful. Perhaps, we might become Spark Friends... emoticon
