Good tip on the jumping jacks. I'm trying various "stomach tightening" moves while I work out as I know that's the root of my problem. I had PT on land last year for the back so I'm recalling all those silly but useful exercises.

Good for you on the compost: it's the "commercial mulch" (shredded bark purchased in big bags etc.) that has become such a garden trend here.

Sounds like you have put a lot of good work bringing your garden soil up to scratch over the years.

Will message you a new approach to a no-dig garden which does not involve heaps of layers,
just planting directly into a top layer of compost.
This may be ideal for your soil now
    and a lot less work
    Cheers Richard
