Renovating Fifi

Kia ora, welcome to my page, Sparkers!
I know I can easily release my unwanted fat, because I have done it before.
With the wonderful support of my Spark buddies, especially the Wise Ones, using the Beck cognitive behavioral approach, the Cura Romana, and trying out the Bright Line Eating principles, I figure I can change my thinking to get rid of it for good.
My task for 2016 is releasing the excess fat, achieving the right size for me, & adhering to that right sized ...

I live in New Zealand with my DH. I work part time. I have a small flock of chickens, some purely decorative nowadays.

Let it be easy.

If hunger is not the problem, food won't solve it.
If you always do what you always did...you always get what you always got.
Whatever it is...I don't have to eat over it.

Ha! Superman! Not yet, Feef. Not yet. Andrew wasn't sure if I should do HIIT on the bike after the work out today. I considered it and we decided that if I could get on the bike comfortably, I'd do the intervals. Nope. My butt barely hit the saddle and I was up and standing on the pedals. And I had a moment about an hour ago. So, no pain free days yet, but I can go hours without any intense pain and pain no longer wakes me up at night. Lots of progress.

Your observation about the key to all of this is so true. I don't have to eat over whatever. I can tolerate the hunger too. And genuine hunger really has nothing to do with the events that are bound to happen. Exactly as you describe. I forget this basic Beck principle too easily.

On second thought, I guess I don't forget too easily. I have only been doing this since last June which is not long at all. There is a lot to learn and to practice. I had about 25 years of bad eating habits built up and I am not about to get over them in 8 months. The hunger lesson was early in the book. Thanks for the great reminder. You have helped me realize and accept that to achieve maintenance over a long period will take constant vigilance and patience to practice all the skills. Not just some of them.
