Trying again....
I just turned 40 and had a really hard time with it. I feel like I being 40 means I'm at my 1/2 mark in life and I don't like that at all! . I really need to stop procrastinating. I've had so many excuses (the weather, I'm tired, too busy, etc). I've put off going for my check up because I'm embarrassed about my weight.
I want to feel better about myself and not have to worry about my chin and my gut in pictures. My best friend lost a lot of weight and I hate having my ...

I want to feel better about myself and not have to worry about my chin and my gut in pictures. My best friend lost a lot of weight and I hate having my picture taken with her because no matter how I try I just can't seem to suck it in enough. UGH! I've been overweight by anywhere from 10 to 50 pounds all of my life. I see my daughter heading down the same path and that makes me so sad. I don't want her to feel the way I've felt.
So, that's it. I got off track but I'm getting back on. Wish me luck!

My Goals:
I want to feel good about my body and not have to "suck it in" when I have a picture taken!
My Program:
I'm going to let Spark guide me more this time. I tried to set up my own exercise plan last time and it really didn't work out that well. I'm back to paying to attention to what and how much I eat. Right now I'm doing cardio and strength training 3 days per week.
Personal Information:
I'm am from Upstate NY just south of Albany. I live with my 9 year-old daughter, my husband, a cat, and a dog. I work part time at our elementary school as a teacher aide.
Other Information:
I love gardening. reading, and being a volunteer firefighter and fire investigator. I also enjoy being a Hospice volunteer.
