Burning steady

I'm 36 and need to lose about 57 pounds. I don't feel hopeless, since I've successfully kept off about 60 pounds for 11 years, but at one point I was about 45 pounds lighter, so I need to re-focus and get back on track. I'm looking for any help available to reach my goal. The hardest part of this for me is asking for help.

My favorite past-times are hiking, kayaking, walking, spinning yarn, knitting, reading, studying and spending time with the pets. I would enjoy being fit ...

I'm currently a personnel director and a full time student. I have a degree in German Studies and am currently studying to get a BS in Chemistry and/or Geology.

My Goals:
I just want to be healthy and strong. I want to be able to hike for a whole day and feel wonderful!

My Program:
I'm doing at least 30min cardio everyday and strength training 10 min/day times. I'm also trying to eat more mindfully (read slower).

Favorite authors: Patricia Briggs, Stephanie Pearl McPhee, Tolstoy, George Elliot, Elizabeth Moon, Mercedes Lackey, George Orwell, Bertolt Brecht to name a few.
Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies.
My music tastes are eclectic, though I tend to love anything with a celtic influence.

HI hon 1 TY the comment on my blog about ur aunt doing the accunpture,,, does it do her well? does she have to 'keep doing it'?

WelcoME to SpARKs !!! I noticed ur fairly new. I am on a team called "the spirited underdogs" and it's a part of one of the 12 teams,,, under the 5% challenge. On this chall ,, we are encouraged to lose 5% of our weight in 8 weeks. there's one chal a week we work on,,, and than we keep adding more chals, as the weeks go by.

If ur interested let me know,,, and I'll put you on the list. I am the challenge leader for the dawggies. we generally have 45 to 52 Dawggies,, puppies (newbies) on our team,, we are very tight,,, and LOVE to emcourage those who wish to be. If you blog,,, the comments DO come in to help you out. I noticed you said ur an introvert, and it can be very hard to reach out. we also reach back to you though,,,which will build up some friendships. that'll help you to lose the 35 lbs you wish to. :)
