5/1/2013 Update for 5% challenge. Last year I lost about 17 pounds. I held very strong until I got the flu in December. I gained about 8 back since. I recently lost 4 again. I've been postponing my regular doctor's appointment for 2 months because I couldn't face her. My main goal is to get my tryglycerides in check. I would like to get down to 160 (25 more to go) by August. I'm hoping this 5% challenge will give me a little kickstart. I also can't wait for the new Spark book I preordered. ...

I exercise 6-7 days a week and hike at least once a week but usually 3-4 times. I recently took up mountain biking -- nothing hard core. hehee. I'm also checking my options for hoola hooping. I think that would be a good challenge for wonder boy and I this summer.
I love knitting, reading, running, playing games, hiking, walking the doggies, practicing yoga, sun gazing and much more. I even belong to a book club that meets monthly. What else? I'm trying to learn guitar along with wonder boy (he's the one taking lessons, I'm mooching). I'm in bell choir and am active in cub scouts.
But mostly, I'm a working mom. When I'm not working (a great gig at home), I'm taxi-driving the boy from school to cub scouts to gymnastics to guitar lessons and more. He's the light of my life and his online name is Westley (dear stepdaughter is Buttercup).
My husband is wonderfully supportive in every aspect of my life. However, he does not want any sort of online presence. I try to honor that the best I can but when I do talk about him, I call him the Walrus.
I also like to write although I'm not very good at it. I do it anyway. I repeat my blog posts here if they even have a hint of Spark but mostly everything is at: sundulation.blogspot.com
This year I would like to be able to complete a 10k. If all goes well, I would like to do a half marathon next year.
6/12/12-Hi, I'm Pam. I live in the foothills to the Appalachians in Northeast Alabama. I love mountain life and the people here with me. I love hiking, knitting, reading, and Yoga. I mostly practice at home but occasionally treat myself to Hot Yoga in Chattanooga. The opportunity to hike is all around me everyday living next to a state park.

Topped out at 196, would like to get to 160. I would like to feel better and build confidence. Lower my cholesterol especially my tryglcerides.
Watching and tracking what I'm eating. Trying to keep my heart healthy. Keep my protein high and carbs low like my doctor tells me to to control tryglycerides.
