Welcome back Jenny.

Taking an active posture toward life is important to me. What does that mean? For years, I thought my circumstances dictated much of what I could or couldn't do. There was always something or someone I could blame for the state of my weight, my finances and even my mental state.

While it has taken me awhile, a few trips around the mountain, I am finally free to be me. I am free to actively participate in the direction of my life. I realize there are no guarantees, and that life can ...

While it has taken me awhile, a few trips around the mountain, I am finally free to be me. I am free to actively participate in the direction of my life. I realize there are no guarantees, and that life can deal some blows. But, the important thing to me is realizing my worth and my hopes are not hitched to my goals. The goals are have are there to move me toward a life that most closely represents the Jenny I was created to be.

When setbacks or tough circumstances come, sure I can get mad or sad, but I can also learn and grow.

I'm on here to actively engage in my life's journey. No more posture of just "rolling with the punches" or dealing with the cards I have been dealt. I have a choices and decisions to make. Those choices and decisions will lead to a destination. I want that destination to be a healthy, beautiful, and inspiring destination. My choices must lead me down that path,






5/3/08 First 1/2 Mara complete!

3/29/08 Ran 10 miles under 12 minute mile pace. Almost there...

3/15/08 Ran 9 miles avg pace 12:15 / mile all while a smidge ill. Woohoo.

3/1/08 Ran 6miles. Kept a pace of 12 min/mile!

2/20/08 My new record miles are 4.5 miles. Speediest miles: 2 miles in 20 minutes. Pressing on!

I'm a mom of two boys who are just about ready to fly out of my nest. Married 17 years...it's been a journey. We're changing together.
Working on getting my outside and my inside to match. Inside, I'm an athlete. Outside, I'm working on it.


Other Information:
Been on this roller coaster ride a long time. Found that I can be my own little science experiment. It's the best way to view the journey. Rather than pass/fail...the objective is to learn and grow.

Hey Jen, thanks! I hope to get one some day... Its funny cause I think about it and then I forget until someone mentions having one! I think I will ask for one for my bday ~ Its a little ways a way but I think I can hold out for that long!

You have a good weekend too! I hope you're really enjoying your gym time today. That sounds like fun!

I'm glad you liked my page! I haven't updated the pictures in a while, but it's hard to do better than pictures of The Grotto and my pretty cat. So I guess they're fine.

Your page is pretty inspirational, it's great to read about your workouts!

Today I am really happy, because I didn't gain any weight this week. Yay, I think I have caught it from going up anymore! I have tracked my calories all week, and not missed a day of exercise.
