Taking an active posture toward life is important to me. What does that mean? For years, I thought my circumstances dictated much of what I could or couldn't do. There was always something or someone I could blame for the state of my weight, my finances and even my mental state.

While it has taken me awhile, a few trips around the mountain, I am finally free to be me. I am free to actively participate in the direction of my life. I realize there are no guarantees, and that life can deal some blows. But, the important thing to me is realizing my worth and my hopes are not hitched to my goals. The goals are have are there to move me toward a life that most closely represents the Jenny I was created to be.

When setbacks or tough circumstances come, sure I can get mad or sad, but I can also learn and grow.

I'm on here to actively engage in my life's journey. No more posture of just "rolling with the punches" or dealing with the cards I have been dealt. I have a choices and decisions to make. Those choices and decisions will lead to a destination. I want that destination to be a healthy, beautiful, and inspiring destination. My choices must lead me down that path,

Several years ago DH had a job that he really liked and did well. All of a sudden we had 5, yes, really 5 job offers for him all w/in like a week of each other. We didn't know which one to take, but we knew one thing for sure, if God throws 5 doors open in front of you-He is closing the door behind you for some reason or another. Who knows, it might have been keeping him from harm or even death as it was a dangerous job-or it might have just been to save our marriage from some kind of harm, we don't know and probably never will. We weeded through the jobs and went with this one and it has been a good job since then-one by one those other jobs dropped off. They were away from home or not enough pay or found someone else, the job he is in now offered close to home, a better salary and room to move up in the company. We listened to the cues given and did what we felt we were being told to do. Just listening to God is what has gotten us through, so often people don't listen, don't sow when they are supposed to and reap when they are supposed to. I believe you are sowing now and will be reaping those grand fields in Tennessee someday! And, I do know that this wait is part of the testimony we are to give and it goes along with our previous testimony on the open doors. This door has not closed yet and when it does we will know it.

Thanks for checking on me. I am learning to live with the grief and also beginning to start thinking about my own health. I only just today decided to join BLC for this next round, but most teams are full. I am leaving it up to fate as to which team I get placed with and hoping that the change of pace may even help me a bit. (Although I will sadly miss being with you guys this fall)

Thank you for stopping by my page to check on my mom. She is doing much better. She really didn't get as sick as she could have. We are thinking she must have passed a stone, instead of holding on to it and making her sicker. Been so busy I have not had a chance to really update with a blog. Hoping to do that soon. Very sweet of you to stop by.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am very amazed I'm still losing and it is continuing. Every week another pound! Yay! I am so happy about this! Thanks very much for your congratulations and support. emoticon

Since I'm going to be moving I won't be attending the BLC, at least not the next round. Too much stuff to do. But I will be thinking about you. emoticon

    Have a good one

Thanks for the fruit salad. I haven't bought any other fruit being I have all those Mango's. I do have a pineapple waiting to be picked though. Both fruits go good with cottage cheese.

Not sure what I am still doing up. I will be sleeping right through pool time if I don't hit the sheets soon. Gotta scoot. MA
