Hey!

My weight gradually increased to the point where it started to seriously affect my health. My doctor told me I had to lose weight. I was looking for an on-line food tracker and my daughter told me about SparkPeople. So here I am...

I don't follow any particular diet. I just eat real whole foods. I buy organic as much as possible. I limit bad fats, meat and dairy. I avoid processed foods.

I try to walk 15K steps per day and at least 40 minutes of strength training ...

The past couple of weeks have been very humid and hot. It's starting to cool off now (finally), and we are grateful that Ana didn't do much damage to us. I think we're heading toward our winter weather. We have about 6 more weeks left of our "hurricane" season so can't wait for December!

Thank you for the goodie!!! Hope you're having a great weekend! I am still struggling with my eating due to some things that are going on at work. I have been an emotional eater for about 20 years now, but I am starting to get a handle on it. You are a big inspiration to me! emoticon

Regarding my blog with my best intentions...

Yeah, about that... Shortly after writing this little blog, I was outside and walking toward one of my donkeys looking at her instead of where my feet were going. I tripped over a brick and now have two banged up and very bruised knees, palm, wrist, and quite a headache, though I didn't hit my head.

On the good side, I didn't rip my pants. On the better side, on seeing me face down on the patio, Polly, my young donkey, didn't throw herself on top of me to play as she has on occasion. She's big and heavy now and not aware of her weight or strength. I was very lucky today.

Ibu and arnica on board. Hoping for the possibility of movement tomorrow.
