My weight gradually increased to the point where it started to seriously affect my health. My doctor told me I had to lose weight. I was looking for an on-line food tracker and my daughter told me about SparkPeople. So here I am...

I don't follow any particular diet. I just eat real whole foods. I buy organic as much as possible. I limit bad fats, meat and dairy. I avoid processed foods.

My Goals:
When I started SP I was obese. My BMI was 33.

I reached a normal BMI on November 11, 2014.

Next I'd like to have an acceptable body fat percentage.

My Program:
I alternate between fitness DVDs and Wii fitness games.

I try to eat organic whole foods as much as possible. I limit sodium, sugar and trans fats.

I avoid processed foods as much as possible.

Personal Information:
I am happily married and have two grown children.

I am expecting my first grandchild in May.

I retired at the age of 51.

Other Information:
I love to read, travel and cook.
