Hey!

My weight gradually increased to the point where it started to seriously affect my health. My doctor told me I had to lose weight. I was looking for an on-line food tracker and my daughter told me about SparkPeople. So here I am...

I don't follow any particular diet. I just eat real whole foods. I buy organic as much as possible. I limit bad fats and beef consumption. I avoid processed foods.

I am ready to tackle the new year!

My Goals:
My first goal is to be 135. My second goal is to reach 130.

I originally wanted to reach 125 but I realize that even when I eat perfectly and exercise to the max I struggle to reach 135. My weight has hovered between 135.5 and 138 for months now but I am fairly fit and toned even at this weight.

Starting weight on April 10, 2011: 175



My Program:
I alternate between fitness DVDs and Wii fitness games.

I try to eat organic whole foods as much as possible. I limit sodium, sugar and trans fats.

I avoid processed foods as much as possible.

Personal Information:
I am happily married and have two grown children. I recently opted to take an early retirement.


Other Information:
I love to read, travel and cook. I also enjoy taking on-line courses.

Thanks for the comments on my page. You know, sometimes when the weight won't come off, you just need to try a different kind of exercise for a while. Sometimes your body just gets used to what you normally do, and it isn't enough any more. Good luck in your efforts!

I'm so glad you're feeling great and that your toe is better. Hubby's toes are good; however, once in a while his foot gets a little swollen. Doctor told him it would take a while for a complete recovery. He has learned his lesson!!
