I make myself only jog 3 times a week as the program suggests and either walk for 30-40 mins or do a walk away the pounds dvd. I try not to do back to back exercises that put stress on my knees. Good luck with recuperating soon. Take it easy, this is not a race, it's a journey,
I think by starting on the walk/jog program first it helped. It would have been more difficult for me after only walking for years to jump right into running at my age, lol. Thank God, I've been blessed to not have an injury and I've done 3 5K's in the past 7 weeks. The first one I walked the entire thing, the 2nd 2 I walked/jogged.
Maybe you might want to do the walk/jog program first and then move into the run your way. Good luck and feel better.
