Back to what works.

I'm back on SP again after trying and trying all sorts of stuff with tempoary results because while some programs are great starters, they are often designed for people who need to lose 15-20 lbs and that's where I fall off the wagon. I recent did wonderful on Jamie Eason's live fit trainer on Bodybuilding.com, and I can only highly recommend it, as long as you have a plan for what will happen when you hit phase 3 and are nowhere near the physical fitness this phase requires. It got too frustrating and hard for me and I gave up when conveniently my gym closed for renovations and my kids and I were sick thus preventing me from going to the gym for 3 weeks. Sigh... Anyways, when you're a die hard sugar addict you need control. I haven't been able to find control as effective as SP anywhere else and the fact that it combines community with fitness just makes it a complete program and I am ready to commit once again and until I finally reach my goals and beyond. I vowed before that by the time I turn 30 my outer appearance would reflect who I really am - competitive, active, loving the outdoors - unfortunatly I have failed to make that happen. But I am not giving up. NEVER giving up.

Short bio, I was born in Germany in 84 and lived there until I was 15. My parents always had a farm, there and here in Canada as well. I met my husband at 18 and we've lived together since 2003 and married since 2007. My husband is an airline pilot and he is home half the month on average. We have 2 children, Juliana born in July 2008 and Jacob born in February 2010. I'm lucky to be a stay at home Mom. Before I had kids I worked as a Nanny and I have an (almost finished) degree in Visual Arts from Brock University. We live in the Niagara Region, Canada.

My Goals:
My basic long term goals are these:

Weight: 65 -70 kg
Dress size: 8-12
Physique: Fit
Endurance: Good
Strength: Excellent
Aerobic Fitness: Good
Control my sugar addiction.

This is based on my own preference, my husband's and reality. I am never going to be a super cut fitness model type, neither do I want to be. I want to be strong, active and healthy.

I want to achive these goals so I can be a good role model for my kids, feel good in my own skin and no longer limited by my physical body in what I want to do, achive and experience in my life.

My Program:
Gym:

Strength training 3-4 times a week, based on different short term programs etc.

Cardio 3-5 times a week to build stamina and endurance, burn calories and increase aerobic fitness

Personal Information:
Grew up in Germany until age 15, no living in Welland, Ontario Canada with my husband & 2 kids.

Other Information:
I love lifting weights and also cardio under the right pretenses. I am very competititve with myself mostly. I love moutain biking outdoors, hiking and cross country skiing. I want to learn how to ski in the future so I can do this with my family.

Thanks for the goodie Fitmommy. I have strawberries and pineapple with a bowl of oatmeal almost every weekday morning for breakfast. Yummy - and you're right, they do fight the sweet cravings.

I live in Ohio. Sounds like there was some beautiful weather going on lots of places today!

I've been trying since my childhood to lose weight and still haven't managed it, but progress is happening. Sounds like progress is happening for you too!

And thanks for the add!
