A New Healthy Me

I feel as if I have been dieting forever. When I turned 50 I decided that I had enough of it. Well, 10 pounds have crept on and now I need to woek on just being healthy. I'm trying to not worry about size, or the number on the scale, but more about eating right and exercising to be at my healthiest best.

Welcome, Jan, and thanks for your note on my blog! This kind of dialogue is what makes SparkPeople such an ongoing classroom of self-improvement.

What you describe was part of my experience, too: the little head games that convince you that, gee, maybe THIS is my goal weight, maybe THIS is the only weight I'm capable of achieving and thus should be my goal.

Now I've finally figured out exactly what I want my goal weight to be, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
