I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Several years ago I found Sparkpeople online and at 300 lbs., It was the help I needed. In 9 months I lost over 70 lbs. By tracking food, exercising and sharing my journey with others.
Then, I injured my feet in Zumba class and couldn't do my regular exercise. I was depressed and my food slipped as well. Then I gave up my efforts. I rapidly began to gain the weight back.
I am back to do this again and keep it off for good.
I am tired of being trapped in this morbidly obese body! I can hardly walk, I have trouble breathing, my feet and knees hurt and I am very depressed.
I reluctantly, had gastric sleeve surgery in Sept. 2016 as a last ditch effort to get my weight under control. I was life changing. Not an easy quick fix like some people think. I am adapting and taking one day at a time. I have lost 57 lbs. so far and hope to reach my goal of 165 lbs. in 2017.
I am feeling much better and for the first time, in a long time, I feel like I can finally get healthy.

HI! It was so good to hear from you! I lost my way for a while also but in November 2014 had an appointment with my eye doctor who spent the entire visit talking aboutlosing weight and getting my blood sugar under control! I was devasted! My eye Dr?????But I left his office determined and have lost 65 pounds to this point. I also want to reach my goal this year. I reactivated with SP in September because I felt I needed the support, the accountability and the focus get to the finishline, the journey I know will be forever! I still have not updated my page but I love yours! Let's DO THIS!

Thanks for the mixed nuts - how did you know those have been my biggest downfall lately! Salt cravings....dang Walgreens for having them on sale cheap! You are doing a great job - stay motivated. I'm trying but life is so crazy and I can't concentrate like I should. I know it should be all about me but that doesn't happen. We will get there together!

Thanks for the blog post visit!
Boy do I know where you are coming from! I ignored my issues for so long that if my daughter had not forced me to go to the ER, I would have LITERALLY died! (Congestive Heart Failure!)
So here's to us mattering to ourselves and practicing radical self care! (SOOOOOOO much easier said than done!!)
Depression is such a booger...makes everything so much more difficult!
    Sending positive vibes!!!!
