Starting weight for 2011 is 392. Working on changing my bad habits a few i need to change is stop putting my body into starvation mode, not getting enough sleep, not exercising because of pain. I have Insulin Resistance, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, PCOS, Diabetic, sever Denigrative Arthritis, Herniated disc in neck and back. I would like to meet others who also suffer with Hidradenitis Suppurativa i have had it since i was 7 years old but have learned to live with it and not get depressed over it when i have bad days of pain associated with it so if it can be said that i keep positive about it the answer would be yes as much as possible for i would choose to have it over many other problems that folks suffer from. I have under gone many treatments for it as well as surgery, but of course it is not something that is curable but have managed to keep it under control as much as possible.

Hi Karen, Sorry to hear of your fall and what it all caused. I fell last January directly on my knee with all my weight which at the time was 374. I too thought I was going to have to have knee surgery due to the intense pain I was in and that there is no cartilage left on that particular knee. But I had a viscosupplement injection and that didn't seem to work at first, but it really did.It was just that the ortho doctor said it would take anywhere from six months to a year to heal. I started taking 2000 iu of vitamin D3 in August and by September the pain was gone all of it finally. So it did take about 9 months to heal. I'm so thankful it did I was really worried about having knee surgery being as heavy as I was. I don't know if any of this would help you or not but I wanted to share my experience so in case there was something that might help you out. I have been terrible keeping up with spark friends but every time I sign in I think of you. I hope that all goes well for you and that your recovery will not be too difficult cause pain stinks!. Thank you for being a friend. I will do my best to keep in contact from now on. Keep me posted on how things are going. emoticon

Hello to my dear friend. I hope you had a nice Christmas; mine was good.

Hope you are doing a lot better. I have a friend in Spokane that had knee surgery and is doing fine. Was heavy set also. She has been on this natural stuff and has caused her to lose weight, doesn't need surgery on the other knee. She wants me to take the stuff, but I haven't tried it yet. I can get more info for you, if you want me to. emoticon emoticon

Thank you so much for the SparkGoodie; that was very thoughtful. I too miss our communications and I am sorry you have been depressed. Sometimes life throws us a curve and is hard to get back on track. Wishing you success on your endeavors. Love and hugs from your friend, Donna
