Getting Back on Track

Hi - I'm 54, married, and trying to get myself back on track. I had registered on spark.com a while ago, just never USED it. I lost almost 100 pounds in the past 2 years on Atkins, but it's not easy to stay on long term alone. Gained some weight back, and now I want to get that back off!

I am glad that you enjoyed my latest blog - thank you for your comments and support. If you think there's a lot to digest in it you should have seen it before two hours of condensing and editing. Much of what I write flows so naturally out of my fingers on to keyboard - it's like I am reading it after it has just been typed. It's kind of a cool sensation when. it happens - on rare occasions like today.

Take good care of yourself and the people in your life - enjoy God's blessing of Today!

Thank you CATHYGETSFIT - I am going to start planning for some other ones. I did have a couple in mind, I made my first one today! My other one is to get back into my smaller jeans. Maybe another one for the next 10 pounds, or maybe even make it 5 - don't know, but the skies the limit!

I agree - my birds are a handful - especially when they each have their own cage... (to make sure they all get along, and that there are no more babies!) Baby, the male cockatiel from mama Nikki, is a real talker - he chats up his sister Dusty like crazy, and it's kind of scary, it kind of sounds like he's trying to hit on her... lol . Dusty, on the other hand, is pretty quiet, but on occasion she yells "Baby!!" - I think it's to shut him up. emoticon

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I love my cockatiels! Wow, I can't believe you have 4 of them! Two can be a handful! lol There's no way I could have parted with the babies of your other two cockatiels either! Aw, that's so cool that you rescued that lovebird! I too am a sucker for animals. You talked about setting some goals to achieve in March so I thought I'd share a couple of quotes with you today that might help motivate you to set some goals for this month. emoticon

“The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.”–Benjamin Mays

“By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands — your own.”–Mark Victor Hansen

You don't have to set very many goals and you don't want your goals to be so big that you can't achieve them in a month or however long you want to achieve them in. Just remember it's better to take lots of small steps in the right direction rather than make giant leaps and then have to backtrack. Now go set some goals! emoticon
