This month I turned 65! I need to update this page - and weightwise I find that I am back to square one! So its back to Sparkpeople having tried a few others. They are just not motivational for me. and this time I am going to to use Sparkcoach.

This is a restart on Sparkpeople for me. A clean slate, a new chance and a ditching of the history that caused my weight gain after being successful the first time.

Fitness Minutes: 4,298

My Goals:
Short term goals
1 Get out on my new bike. Its a pedal assist bike and so I should be able to keep up...

2 Walk for at least 30 minutes at least 4 times a week.

3 Make my mealtimes count by eating more wholesome foods and allowing myself a small daily treat

Long Term Goals
1 Re - start the couch to 5 k running program - it wont matter if I take longer than the specified 9 weeks - just get out there and RUN. (I havnt run in ages although two years ago I did this. I have to get my mind around the fact that the goal is not to finish its to keep going!

2 Do a long walk once a week aiming towards more and longer walks.

3 Do some weight training specifically aimed at toning up.



My Program:
Step by step I will work towards eating delicious healthy food, having normal portions, and stopping the binge diet situation that has lately become the norm for me. I will get back to a level of fitness that I managed to achieve last year, but sadly have let lapse (and oh how quickly the rot sets in).



Personal Information:
I'm 65years old, english and living and working in UK and also in France. I should have it all, but something stops me enjoying the fruits of my wonderful life and something makes me binge/diet enough to stop me achieving my goals.


Other Information:
updated Juy 2016 I am a mother to two wonderful sons, now both grown. I am a grandmother to 2 boys 11 and 9, and cat mummy to 2 gorgeous rescued ferals. I was widowed in 1993 when my boys were 18 and 14 and for the last 16 years have happily been in a relationship.
