Challenges can be good

I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. I have worked in dietary and know all about how being overweight can affect your health but had never been ready to do anything about it.

In June of 2006 I move out of my parents house and had more freedom, along with that in July I started taking a class on nutrition where we had to record our food intake can exercise daily. I did it out of spite because I had to but still did not care anything about what I was eating, until ...

In June of 2006 I move out of my parents house and had more freedom, along with that in July I started taking a class on nutrition where we had to record our food intake can exercise daily. I did it out of spite because I had to but still did not care anything about what I was eating, until the end of the class in August. I found spark people and fell in love. In September I joined the gym at work and have been working out ever sense.

By the end of 2007 I had lost 60 pounds but due to a shoulder injury I gave up on exercise and eventually eating healthy, eventually I put back on 30 pounds again.

It was not until November of 2010 that I started getting serious again and realized how much I had actually accomplished this past few years and that although there are always going to be road blocks I can break through. Since then I have been using the gym as my stress releaf per say. But I have also been backing off on going to the gym hard core until I get my eating back on track again too. This month's time away from the gym and focusing on eating has been the motivation I needed to get back on track and prove to myself I can do it. With a little more time I will hopefully be able to figure out how to take my chaos of a schedule and figure out how to get my eating and gym time to work together again.

My new realization is that although sometimes things look challenging if you break down the challenges into smaller pieces you will make it a lot further. Here is to figuring out my challenge.

My Goals:
Working in dietary I know how important eating healthy and exercising is, but my goal is to try to achieve the success.

To become a dietitian or trainer or both!

My Program:
For my program I have started eating healthy.

In September 2006 I joined the gym and have made it my goal to go 5 days a week when able.

In January 2007 I started weight training with a trainer.

In March 2007 I graduated from the biggest loser program at work.

October 2007 Started taking classes at the gym to see if it will push me a little more.

July 2009 completed 240 of the 300 miles in TRAM a 5 day bike ride!

July 2010 completed 280 of 300 miles in TRAM a 5 day bike ride.

October 2010 got certified to teach Spinning. I may never teach but accomplished my personal goal.

Other Information:
A friend told me this quote last night and I fell in love "Use your words. Say excuse me. Say please and thank you. Respect others and they will respect you. But remember, above all else, respect yourself."
