"Please allow me to introduce myself..."

Greetings: I'm from the Great Lakes State or as most of you may know it, Michigan. I share a home with my widowed mother and two adorable cats, Gus and Beanie aka 'the boys'.

Greetings: I'm from the Great Lakes State or as most of you may know it, Michigan. I share a home with my widowed mother and two adorable cats, Gus and Beanie aka 'the boys'.

I began my weight loss jouney in February of 2010. I was having difficulty doing every day things such as walking and going up and down the stairs. I was finally honest with myself and stopped denying the fact that if I didn't do something drastic about my health my problems would only get worse. I watched my mother lose the majority of her mobility and didn't want the same fate for myself. If I couldn't move, and I lived with my mother, who would take care of us? It was time for me to take control of my life.

As of September 2011, I have lost a total of 130 pounds, over half way to my goal. Now that I know I can do it, there's no stopping me!

Hi Gayle, thank you for the orchid, and for thinking of me in the loss of my dear Sonoma. It was very kind of you.
Also, I wanted to thank you for introducing your self, you are taking control of your health, and I am very happy for you, and the positive changes you have made. You are inspiring me to keep trying, and I appreciate that. Many blessings for future success, and hug your kitties extra for me too. Your new friend, Dee
