Eight years ago I gave birth to my son. It took me about 5 years to lose 30 pounds and reach a goal of 130 pounds. I spent 2-to-3 of those years on Weight Watchers, slowly learning how to watch portion sizes, gradually weaning myself from mindless snacking throughout the day (usually due to boredom) and just feeling better overall in regards to my eating habits. From 2008 to 2009 I fell off the wagon and regained 20 pounds so I'm now trying to lose those pounds again and to maintain that ...

In addition to the weight loss, I'd like to become more physically fit. This is where Sparkpeople comes in!

Consuming more fruits and/or veggies each day, getting outdoors a few times a week and doing something relatively active, gardening, watch my snack intake, try to eat healthier grains, keep track of daily intake by using Weight Watchers points.

My name is Teresa and I live in Texas. I have an 8-year-old son. Things I enjoy doing alone or with friends/family are: reading, baking, collecting recipes and cookbooks, listening to music, playing board games or card games, some video games, surfing the internet, taking long walks, going to parks, taking road trips, watching TV or movies.

Other Information:
My favorite song for lifting my spirits is "Here Comes The Sun", by The Beatles.
