GET FIT!

I was at 115-130 lbs from puberty thru college. In college freshman, I'd yo yo, I'd lose 15 lbs and gain 30. It was a vicious cycle throughout college. In college I was called the slowest eater, little did I know that's how I was able to keep in shape and still eat regular foods. In 1993-96 I joined weight watchers, got in maintenance and reached goals, but never kept it off. Weight came back eventually.. I was always taught it's a diet. In 1993-96 I joined weight watchers, got in maintenance and reached goals, but never kept it off. Weight came back eventually.. I was always taught it's a diet. Well, now with some encouragement from friends, strangers, neighbors, coworkers, etc. I'm learning it's a LIFESTYLE, NOT DIET. See, diet was a letter -i - in it, meaning doing it alone, and only 3 letters are in it, d, e,t with I in between. In LIFESTYLE, it's the second letter, but more letters -- meaning theres more support and theres nothing wrong seeking it; so I feel embarrassed when I ask for it.

"Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence, any goal is within your reach.
Even if you can’t see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some progress, you’ll find new ways to make even more.
Even if your results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you’ve been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now."
— Ralph Marston

"How do you build up your bank account? By putting something in it everyday.
Your health account is no different. What I do today, I am wearing tomorrow.
If I put inferior foods in my body today, I'm going to be inferior tomorrow, it's that simple."
-Jack La Lanne
