How time flies! I want it to slow down! September 24: this picture is at my cousin's birthday party at my grandma's farm. I'm standing behind my cousin. WE were ready to party and for it to NEVER end! My aunt doesn't seem to be impressed being in the picture in the corner, she made the scarf necklace (it has a latch like a necklace, but a necklace is longer!) I think that's part of my aunt's surprise ! August 27, 2016: This upcoming Friday 3 pm when my bus picks me up from work my vacation begins! I can hardly wait! I start packing for the farm tomorrow. Sunday before Labor day my parents arrive around dinner time, spend night at my apartment, and ALL three of us leave for farm labor day morning. Grandma, a sharp 99 on January 19th, full of spunk, I get to see for a full week! Week after labor day I return, so I pray time at the farm goes very slowly, I'm in NO hurry to return. There's no work at work. If I got my way, I'd get a job closer to my relatives and move in with Grandma. I haven't asked Grandma about living with her yet, I'd get a job closer to her and more family members with a stronger support system than I currently get from work. This past Wednesday I got to follow-up on current job applications and went well. I consider looking for a job as a job, I feel great about it and very thankful for a productive day. Thursday and Friday I went to work, regretfully, no work as always, only went in because I want a positive reference. July 19 2016: I gained one pound WATER weight, so doc and I aren't worried about it. Picture here is my morning Leslie circuit training workout! Name it and the DVD, then get off your behind and get moving! Your body will thank you for it and you'll be glad you did! I'm looking forward going to the farm Sunday before Labor day or morning , I get to help be a caregiver for my sharp 98 1/2 year young grandma (she'll be 99 on January 19!) AND stay for a week! With slow down work coming in at work I hope the upcoming weeks go fast go slowly at the because I don't get to see her much. I take Leslie DVDs with me and I feel refreshed! June 2016: Ever since I started using my Sparkpeople trackers, I've lost 25 pounds since November and have maintained the loss since. Using the Sparkpeople trackers has made me aware of what and how much I eat, it literally scared the bejeepers out of me. I'm thankful for each plateau I have because that's how I learn to maintain the lost weight. I've gown down 8 pant sizes, 3 shirt sizes, a bra size, my next rewards will be a new bathing suit and trip to state volleyball tournament for Special Olympics in June! I'm on the left, enjoying dinner with my second cousins. My parents took the picture 😃 2013: I was at 115-130 lbs from puberty thru college. In college freshman, I'd yo yo, I'd lose 15 lbs and gain 30. It was a vicious cycle throughout college. In college I was called the slowest eater, little did I know that's how I was able to keep in shape and still eat regular foods. In 1993-96 I joined weight watchers, got in maintenance and reached goals, but never kept it off. Weight came back eventually.. I was always taught it's a diet. Well, now with some encouragement from friends, strangers, neighbors, coworkers, etc. I'm learning it's a LIFESTYLE, NOT DIET. See, diet was a letter -i - in it, meaning doing it alone, and only 3 letters are in it, d, e,t with I in between. In LIFESTYLE, it's the second letter, but more letters -- meaning theres more support and theres nothing wrong seeking it; so I feel embarrassed when I ask for it.
