August 2016: I gained one pound WATER weight, so doc and I aren't worried about it. Picture here is my morning Leslie circuit training workout! Name it and the DVD, then get off your behind and get moving! Your body will thank you for it and you'll be glad you did! I'm looking forward going to the farm Sunday before Labor day or morning , I get to help be a caregiver for my sharp 98 1/2 year young grandma (she'll be 99 on January 19!) AND stay for a week! With slow down work coming in at work I hope the upcoming weeks go fast go slowly at the because I don't get to see her much. I take Leslie DVDs with me and I feel refreshed! June 2016: Ever since I started using my Sparkpeople trackers, I've lost 25 pounds since November and have maintained the loss since. Using the Sparkpeople trackers has made me aware of what and how much I eat, it literally scared the bejeepers out of me. I'm thankful for each plateau I have because that's how I learn to maintain the lost weight. I've gown down 8 pant sizes, 3 shirt sizes, a bra size, my next rewards will be a new bathing suit and trip to state volleyball tournament for Special Olympics in June! I'm on the left, enjoying dinner with my second cousins. My parents took the picture 😃 2013: I was at 115-130 lbs from puberty thru college. In college freshman, I'd yo yo, I'd lose 15 lbs and gain 30. It was a vicious cycle throughout college. In college I was called the slowest eater, little did I know that's how I was able to keep in shape and still eat regular foods. In 1993-96 I joined weight watchers, got in maintenance and reached goals, but never kept it off. Weight came back eventually.. I was always taught it's a diet. Well, now with some encouragement from friends, strangers, neighbors, coworkers, etc. I'm learning it's a LIFESTYLE, NOT DIET. See, diet was a letter -i - in it, meaning doing it alone, and only 3 letters are in it, d, e,t with I in between. In LIFESTYLE, it's the second letter, but more letters -- meaning theres more support and theres nothing wrong seeking it; so I feel embarrassed when I ask for it.

    Hi, I know what you mean. I used to sign up for numerous challenges at a time and ended up dropping all of them. I found the one I liked best and am just part of the Shooting Stars now. Easier, and so much more successful

    the contractor who damaged the roof his insurance company paid all the repairs

    the company that made the repairs did damage which really is about 150.00 to fix and not going to sue for that but i am going to make their lives miserable if they do not fix it soon

    Hi Gal,

    Here's my super simple take on fideo:

    1 pkg of 8 oz vermicelli noodles
    1 tsp butter
    1 tsp canola oil
    1/2 med onion minced
    2 c broth
    2 c water
    1 tbsp of taco season
    1/2 diced tomato
    1 scallion sliced thin.

    toast broken dry vermicelli in pan with oil and butter, add minced onion after 1 min. stir another 1-2 mins. add taco season. Coat vermicelli with season, add water and broth and heat on medium, about 10-12mins. Add tomato and simmer for another 10mins.

    Toss in scallion and serve. Makes about 4.5 cups and I figured it to be about 60 calories a cup. I also add a couple dashes of Tabasco to my individual serving. yum.
