Getting healthier

It seems pretty easy to slip into bad habits but Sparkpeople really helped me to become more aware and it's made losing weight possible for me, at a time when I don't have much will power or willingness to give up what I like. If I can lose this weight I'll have so much more energy and feel so much better in myself, I'm looking forward to it and hope it won't be too hard!

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I completely agree with what we should be promoting - health versus skinny. Then again, we get into troubles defining what that "health" is, just like we have trouble defining what that skinny is since it can differ so many people and make girls and guys with larger frames or those that carry more muscle naturally to try and fit themselves into a place they don't belong.

I posted another article this morning, I'd be interested in your take, not necessarily as a response to the previous one to which you replied, but perhaps as "the other side" of the debate - where muscle and strong is the height of sexy, not skinny.

We're getting closer to our goal- hang in there and good luck to you too! We can do this! emoticon and congrats on the 2" off your waist- wow! That's awesome! emoticon
