I used to be very pysically fit and active until I had an injury that required surgery and a long recovery. I'm still working through it but am on a healthy track to fitness and well being. I love to travel and love music. I still work at a job I love but it is very mentally and pysically demanding. I have one 29year old son and have been married 40 years.

I love to travel and love music. I still work at a job I love but it is very mentally and pysically demanding. I have one 29year old son and have been married 40 years.

I gained 40 pounds when I quite smoking 15 years ago and have been taking off 20 and putting it back on ever since. I will never have my "youthful weight" of 130 back and have come to realize that, but I can make healthy choices and be the best that I can be.

I have learned that I can control the pain of age related disease through diet and exercise. (I'm a hardcore arthritis sufferer) and had thyroid cancer that metastasied to a soft tissue sarcoma tumor behind my knee. I am lucky to be alive since I didn't seek treatment in a timely manner, thinking it was arthritis. I still have bad days, but I am thankful for the days I have.

Exercising (no matter how) is so important. Once you start, you never stop. Eating right may not matter to you now, but trust me, what you do now will show up years later, if you're lucky enough to live that long.

Hi there, you asked me where in Italy I am. I'm staying with friends in Florence and have taken the train for weekends trips to Rome, Milan and Venice so far. I read your personal information section and I can strongly relate. I also was emotionally abused as a child but never hit or spanked. I also am considered more sensitive than the average person. Not good or bad it just is. Therapy helped and the therapist said there is a negative and a positive for being a sensitive person. The negative being when bad things happen you feel deeper about them than most and it deeply bothers you more. The good of being sensitive is when good things happen you experience more joy than the average person.
