I am hoping this site is able to get me motivated again to achieve my weight loss goals. I started SP in Sept 2008, and it has motivated me to work out more than I would have ever thought.

That alone has motivated me to want to work out and be a better person. My attitude and perspective on things has greatly changed since I started sparks. I really did not think that I would loose weight, as I had failed so many other times to get below the 160 mark, but right now I am teetering to get into the 150's. I have not been there for 10+ years. This program is making rethink about what I put in my mouth. I have now realized that is does matter how many calories you put in your mouth, even if you had a super tough work out. I am making myself accountable. I am making a change.

December 17,2008 began Chalean Extreme

December 31,2008- ran my first 5K at Midnight to bring in the new year. Time 33 minutes 12 seconds ( 5.5mph pace)

January I really decided to kick it up a notch with my running. The last week of January launched my official 12 wk training to get my 5k time under 30 minutes. Wish me luck!! I also was able to break out of the 150's and get into the 140's this month. I have never in my adult life been in this weight category, although I am not really planning on staying here for too long.

March- Now I am almost finished with CE. I am really ready to be done and get back into heavy cardio again for some time to see if I can loose my final few pounds. I am so close to goal. March 1,2009 was the first time that I ran 4 miles non stop. Every few weeks I can go a little further. This is so exciting to me as I have never been able to do this before. I am now looking towards a 10k training program as my next step, and maybe even a HM. Thanks for my SP friends I have the courage to try and do more, and succeed. Without this place I know I would still be struggling.

This is a new year, and I am really going to make it to goal this year. I am training for my first HM in April, and my body is not liking it. In August 2009 I tore my hamstring and had to make it through a 16 week recovery. I am still working on getting back to where I was weight wise, and also speed and endurance.

My Goals:
I am at my lowest adult weight yet. I want to make sure that I can maintain this for the rest of my life. I am taking this plan now 1 lb at a time. This is my life now, not just a short term fix.

My Program:
I love turbo jam video's and Jillian MIchaels. I try to get in 5 days a week.

In Oct 08 I have added Jari Love Ripped to my workouts. They are excellent with strength and burning calories. I am averaging 450-600 calories per day.

Now I have added Jackie Warner to the cycle of videos

Dec 17,2008- Chalean Extreme

Jan 09- added running into rotation!

April 09- My program is now 4 days a week running, 3 days a week Strength training, and 2 days of additional cardio

Other Information:
I am determined to do it this time. I will get it right this time!!!

Glad to hear the surgery went well! And that you are feeling good. Yes, definitely let's tag team each other to keep each other on task. Texting works for me. Do you still have my number? If so, my number is still the same. My biggest problem is keeping my phone charged - I have it fully charged in the am, and by the afternoon it has died (in fact it just died and it is only 2:30) VERY annoying. So I am not very good about using it. But if I know you'll be texting I'll be better about keeping it charged and remembering to check it.

Oh, Angie I am so sorry to hear about your injuries! That is awful. Have you scheduled your surgery? 8 weeks seems like a really long time, and it is no fun that you have to do both feet, but I am sure you are right, as soon as you are able you will be back to your exercising self and will get that weight back off.

Pinched nerve, too. Owie. I hope the therapist is helping.

I'm doing well, but like you I gained a bunch of weight (though I don't have any good excuse like you) and have just realized that I have lost 15% of my starting weight and am back to wearing my size 4 pants. But it was 2 years of being really overweight - even heavier than when I started SP (which will be 5 years in April).

I am still wearing my BB, though I want the new core2 that is supposed to be coming out soon (it is a lot smaller and is supposedly going to have the option of having a HRM). I have the fitbit, too. Yea, I am such a gadget slave. I really like the feedback and the fact that it lets me know how much of my day was sedentary, lightly active, active, or highly active. But the thing I love most about the fitbit is the sleep tracker - which the body media core2 also does. I wish the BB did that. And I love that the fitbit links to SP (and now bodymedia, does, too - very nice).

Thanks for stopping by my page. I'm doing great. Last year I met my goal weight, but then we bought a new house, sold our old house, and I went back to work full-time. Earlier this year my mom was in the hospital with a serious heart condition, but two surgeries later she's doing fine now. After all that stress, I gained 10 pounds and am now working to lose it. I've lost about half of it so far and seem to have found my spark again. I'm back into eating well and exercising regularly. I know what you mean about life being busy -- it's tough to juggle everything, that's for sure. So glad to catch up with you a little bit and I do hope you log on every once in awhile to update us on how you're doing. Take care!

Hi, Angie. I was on JILLIAN40's page and saw a comment you posted there at the end of March that you might be coming back to SP. I sure hope so! I miss the old days with you, Mandy, Sarah, Shani, etc. being online. Hope things are well with you and hope to see you on here more often. Take care!
