You are almost 80? I have always pictured you much younger. You are obviously doing a lot of things right to have such good health that they say you have the body of a 45-50 year old. I agree that it was no doubt being thrown in that crosswalk that has caused the knee thing. Knees are tricky and give people a lifetime of trickiness. By that I mean surgery usually is what ultimately ends up happening. Most of them laproscopically nowadays so not to bad of recovery. I hope the doctor is right and you will heal on your own. But if it's been 6 mos (I remember reading about that car hitting you and boy does time fly) you'd think you'd be somewhat healed instead of getting worse. Take care, and God will bless you for making cookies for your church.
No, I'm in Mississippi - but my neighbor was plagued with calls from DHS here every time her daughter didn't like something Mom did.
Sadly, Mom had no rights (my walking buddy) and the kids are not charged for bogus calls!
However, they are supposed to check out any and every call made on behalf of a child for abuse and neglect.
DHS = Department of Human Services and is mostly for child abuse and neglect.
They came and checked my buddy's house so many times and looked in her cupboards and freezer/fridge to make sure there was food and that the house was clean, etc. Royal pain in the butt for her - her daughter was allowed to hit her but she couldn't even defend herself.
Anyway, that is another story, lol, and now the shoe is on the other foot!
Did you know that the best quality eggs are usually those sized Small in stores? The reason for that is because when a hen begins to lay eggs they are small and the eggs get larger as the hen matures.
If you are going to make eggs the centrepiece of your breakfast, consider small or medium eggs. The white will stand nice and high with the yolk on a fresh egg so watch for that as well. When you crack an egg and the white spreads all over the pan, it is usually a better idea to scramble the egg.
When we bring eggs into the house from those first few days of a hen laying there is nothing better for breakfast than a fresh and tender egg.
Whether I am making eggs benedict or soft boiling them or even just simply cracking them into the pan... eggs for breakfast are always a nutritious choice. Check here for all the facts!
